- My ride: Toyota Corolla SEG
- Prefers SQ/SPL/SQL: No idea
- File format/medium used for my source: MP3/FLAC(not sure possible or not) through USB, MP3 player through auxiliary in
- Music genre: Pop
- Budget: Around RM200 or cheapest option for my requirements
- Setup type preferences: No idea
- Other requirements (if any): USB with MP3 playback capability, auxiliary in, support Unicode(Chinese specifically)

Actually I only want to buy the head unit so that I can reuse my original speaker.

guys a newbie ICE question:

I've recently upgraded my front components speakers to focal access 165a1. Pretty satisfied with the sound.

my question is, how important is changing the rear speakers?

which of the following would you say has better priority when upgrading ICE:
1. rear speakers
2. AMP
3. Sub

Also if someone could recommend me some sets for these total under 2k would be great.. thanks!

currently using the stock preve HU. it offers alot of functionality(USB, AUX, GPS, day/night mode set with auto light sensor, steering control..etc). to replace with another HU that offers all this paired with controller gonna cost alot lol.. so wanna upgrade the sound equipment first tongue.gif

so rear speakers not so important in your opinion?

same dilemma as him...upgraded from stock honda city to focal ps165...lovin it...each day spend 1 hour sit in car before came in house doh.gif doh.gif

i have 1k only...i already have rca cable and want to maintain stock HU until all toys install...which way should i go??

1- buy a good amp(2nd hand) to hook up to component or save more for a new unit amp
2- sound proof my two front door
3- save more for sub+mono+custom box made to specification

one more question..as the ps165 has 4 crossover...should i get a 4 channel amp and use each channel for each xover?? do i benefits in any way by doing that?? if no benefit..i'll be on my way hunting for 2 channel amp...if more benefit...i'll hunt for 4 channel...

Forget about the rear speakers. When I was using the stock HU, I set fader all to front.
Get a decent amp and subwoofer, it should improve the sound a lot.

The stock HU is certainly handy....and also why I added another HU instead while keeping the stock HU for GPS, reverse camera.
