You can retain old phone number but at the same time you will still get new Unifi VOIP number.
Unifi VOIP number cant be replaced by normal phone line number as it has diff prefix.

As long as you register unifi using old phone number owner's name, you will get to maintain the phone number for free. (Monthly rental charges will be waived)
