The ICS experience on GNex is definitely unbeatable at the moment, not even S2 comes close (Leaked ICS on S2 is very buggy still).

So, it's your call, but S2's performance is still ahead.

I was referring to overall UI performance on ICS itself. If your S2 is on CM9, I believe it feels better than on GNex. But, there is definitely something not working, 1 or 2 things, on your S2 with CM9. Hence the overall better experience on GNex compared to other ICS.

Actually, tile or icon based, it's still similar to Android. Instead of swiping up/down, in Android you swipe left right on your home screen. Customisation would be to pick the icon to be placed on the home screen. Imagine if you have way too many custom tiles on WP, it's still non-stop swiping up/down hunting for your favourite app.

Best is still finding app via Search.

And the voucher is only worth if you were to use it to buy a WP?

Pretty much useless if that's the case.

With my fair share of 1 week usage on the phone, to connect to a wifi hotspot. That is quite pain actually. Just to get into the settings already a pain. lol. Don't get me started on activating BT and such.

S2 was known for lousy sound chip. OTOH, SGS has a much better sound chip though. Even Supercurio gave up on tweaking the Yamaha chip on S2.

Check in About Phone -> Status. The icon just never show H+, sometimes you are already in H+.

HTC Sense has such integration made into the phones.

CM9 nightly or AOKP?

Loved to have those toggle buttons @ notif bar. As well as setting such as "Preferred WCDMA" instead of just "Use 2G/3G", which helps a lot in keeping my U Mobile active, instead of falling into Celcom (Domestic Roaming). Another thing would "roaming" is separated to "Domestic" and "International". No worries of exorbitant charges, in case you went overseas and forgot to switch off your "Roaming" (as per AOSP).

These are just the few things that I'm looking at on AOSP based custom ROMs.

You can take out your battery while having the charging cable connected.
