just wondering does anyone here tried purchasing lego from lego.com, amazon or toy r us US and have it ship back to KL??

the prices here in kl are so high, especially the star wars range.

Amazon possible la. TRU US and LEGO.com is impossible unless u have fren or fam member there. You ask them buy and ship back to you.

amazon cheaper most of the time. but shipping gonna cost a lot. and remember that if u import > rm500 worth of toys, custom can stop that.

so u try to deliver to someone in US, and ask ur friend there to deliver to u, and in the slip, write the amount < 500. but it's not going to cheap also.

I check the figure thread and they said starting 1st April Kastam gonna tax 15% on toys whether is new or used. . . .

carry using own hands out from airport shouldnt be a problem. Problem is only with parcels arriving from oversea will be taxed kaw kaw. By then you can "attempt" to say ur frens mail u all these toys for you coz he juz won lottery and dont need it anymore. Try wear coffee stained singlet + selipar jepun there to convince the kastam that u indeed deserve those toys

actually, if u hand carry into airport, it depends on ur luck. if they stop you and scan, then open your bag. you have to explain.

anyway, a bit out of topic. hahaha.
don think i will b going US anytime soon....so have to stop collecting lego for a while :T

I just received 3 small parcels from US today , no problem at all.
Got another registered airmail arrived at KLIA yesterday, cleared custom as well now at National Sort Centre (Dayabumi, I think) . Looks ok too. All has Toy in the custom declaration. Maybe I got lucky.
