Actually, they will (should!) put a foam/sponge/whatever underneath your chassis to lapik so that the platform won't touch your side skirts when they jack it up.

If you are using the scissors jack like below:



The skirting does not touch that "beam" underneath your car where there's the gap to put the jack against, so no worries there.

In the SC, they use hydraulic platforms that lifts your whole car :



They should use a few pieces of foam/sponge to lapik the bottom of the chassis (like in the picture above). Because the skirting is lower than the chassis, if they directly lift the car like that without lapik, the skirting will bear the weight of the car and may crack.
