biggrin.gif A bit late as compared to retail stores in Malaysia... arrived nevertheless! You can visit Brick Bastion

Had an unforgetable experience picking up the stock personally at the warehouse (i think it is a warehouse). Was lost, and I went to and fro LDP 3 times, Kesas toll one time, and dunno what PJS5 tol or something. doh.gif

Met my account manager (she's a babe!), and for the first time in my life, saw a warehouse stacked with so much of LEGO! About 2-3 stories high! Next time, with their permission, would snap a photo. But most likely won't allowlar due to security concerns.

Wow... if that shipment got hijacked by Somali pirates, that's itlar.. sure a lot of sad LEGO fans in Malaysia. blink.gif

Got a box of catalogs too. Not sure whether it would be a good idea to scan and upload?

Errm.. really itchy hand already. I think I would probably open up a few sets for review this weekend. Lol.... For the time being, would put the pieces together in my dreams lar.

Added on March 25, 2009, 12:39 amoh yeah guys by the way normally how much does the dwarf mine cost?
*
The Malaysian retail price for Dwarve's mine is RM284.90. Which is a very good price. The catch is, hard to get stock. Don't think the distributor has anymore at this point.

Those days, I bought mine in japan for RM360 during my honeymoon there cry.gif

Wait for the Medieval Market Village 10193. Local distributor bringing in. Heard the price would be relatively OK.

Other 5 digit sets (green grocer, cafe corner...etc) are coming in as well....SOON.

This V-torrent fighter is seriously shocking.gif overpriced at Rm 409.90. Even at RM 286.93 it still expensive with not that many features. For the other Legoes I think TRU must have ordered too many and the stock is moving too slowly and slowly being overtaken by the 09 sets. Speaking of 09 sets, saw the Power miners at TRU KLCC too, but at full RRP.

Some of the discounted ones look appealing, but already bought 1 Power Miner Lego last Thursday  brows.gif
*
I got myself an annivesary brick set (with golden brick). biggrin.gif

Wanted to order from distributor, dah habis pulak.

Muncul at TRU. vmad.gif Weird eh??

Anyway guys, i think that set is a good buy. nod.gif

I got one 5582 also. Come to think about it, dunno I was after the bakul, or after the bricks! doh.gif

Added on April 4, 2009, 9:38 pmErm.. I got one set of ELDORADO Fotress for sale:

http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=6276-1

Complete, but no original box.

PM me if interested. smile.gif

No dirt bike comes with this set. I think it comes with the Crystal Sweeper, the biggest set.

Eh... only one? What about the rest? tongue.gif

I notice this round, the power miners theme quite good value for money...

I should be getting the 5 digit LEGO sets price list around next week (for the uninitiated, sets like Green Grocer, Cafe Corner...etc).

The items should land in Malaysia, maybe end of April 2009.

Would keep everyone posted.

Recent years LEGO company been making losses, and have to reduce some of their color "palette", and creating mould of "big parts" for their sets (like a huge wheel/truck bucket/drill) to stay afloat. Small parts is more expensive to produce . Some of their "walls" brick are no longer solid from all sides. For example the 5-brick tall x 6 brick long part actually has one side hollowed out.
*
Not too sure, they seem to be making profit recent years.

Checkout their annual report. http://www.lego.com/eng/info/default.asp?page=annualreport

QUOTE(weiwei2 @ May 22 2009, 02:25 PM)
this lego thread is cool and it urges me to share my creation as well. i am very much grown up now, but i still love the basic lego town and especially lego train
i always try to look out for lego discount at jusco. sometimes they sell lego at 50% off.

My train town
----------------
i built this near half year ago to show my baby daughter. she is interested in catching the train and trying to destroy it. will take years before she know how to play with the bricks

bird eye view of the train town
it took me few hours to make it and keep them away take another 1 hour. it really takes up lots of space. need to relatively huge hall to play them

A train X-cross intersection
is made using tracks from the blue era as well as from the grey era

and those army hiding there are not real Lego. they are china made imitates. i bought them since lego doesn't have military series, and out of curiosity. the quality not as good as lego but not bad

The railway crossing
is constructed with older and newer generation of lego bricks. observe the blue era rail. nowadays lego rail are too customized cannot match with my version of rail

another view of the railway crossing

'glow in dark' ghost is guarding the crossing

The town
PS: if for some reason the picture can't be viewed here in future, view them at My leog
