Hi! I start collect lego in 2005, bought a lots from the Texchem sales last July. Other then waiting for Texchem sales, can get 20% off from Jusco on the Members Day! what more is during members day u can also get a RM10 voucher in each RM100 spend. And for Jusco Taman Equine  can get 30% during members day, I bought the 7249 and 7898 here.

Hehehe...Texchem sale is still the best, can buy until you go crazy rclxms.gif However, I didn't know it was taken by DKSH. Hmm, probably all I care is the Lego and not the company tongue.gif

Can get it at Brickboy Toys (7th Floor of Berjaya Time Square). Btw, Alan from Brickboy informed me that they are opening soon at Mid Valley and you could get some kind of promotion there. I heard him saying end September (or this month?). Can call him to re-confirm again.

Guys,

Alan from Brickboy told me he's opening his new branch in Mid Valley on the 26th September 2007 (if nothing goes wrong) on the 3rd floor. Perhaps you could go check it out as he told me he's going to have some promotion there as opening celebration.

promotion?? oh yea.... good to hear that. smile.gif

Hehe...But I couldn't wait for the promotion and proceed to buy the Skeleton Tower today since my donkey display cabinet couldn't fit the huge Castle. Surprisingly it is quite nice to fix and the look of it as opposed to just looking at the Lego website. The Evil Wizard is so cool, though I still hate the dumb looking dragon. Johnny, in case if you plan your next purchase, not too bad to get the Skeleton Tower. You have many Castle but missed out the baddies tongue.gif

Aduh so expensive........I was there just now to collect my Monorail train set....
I was told that new stocks will come in by next friday.....including the yummy Bulldozer....and my dream Model Town House. So for those waiting for the new stuff do drop by Brickboytoys....next week....Or you can wait for his opening at Mid valley...I was told that there will be discounts during the opening.

So LEGO fans............get ready... drool.gif
*
Today I went to Brickboy again and Alan told me that he'll give out membership for free during the opening if you purchase RM500 or more plus some freebies above certain amount (which he has yet to determine). So guys, give him suggestions on promo.

Hehe...today I've got the Knight's Kingdom The Grand Tournament 8779 set for RM149.90 and it's really nice (unlike most Knight's Kingdom rubbish). It comes with more than 300 pieces and really serves as good piece for castle extensions. Now I'm more of Castle junkie instead of Star Wars because it's much cheaper and could create much more things with it.

Brickboy will also be bringing in the Eiffel Tower next week and many new model next week, including the Star Wars UCS.

haha i agree...

the best Knights and Kingdom II set is the 8813 ( battle at the pass). i got it very cheap at RM200 included the shipping.
8813 has 10 minifigs, tonnes of weapons, catapult and siege ladder and the castle wall

RM200? Where you got it, through the e-channels? Wah, next time got things like that better let us know lar... Perhaps you could help us (working adults) to buy and mark up slightly and subsequently sell it to us, then can cover your cost abit also lar.... tongue.gif

Yea, LEGO, my favourite toy while I was a kid. Now I still love them all. I love mostly dragons, medievil, ninjas, red indians/ anything that appears primitive. Ai yah, I forgot to take some photos of my old collection! The figure I love most is a black dragon and a small skeleton.

Legos are uberly expensive and I only have the small small sets, never own the big RM200+ sets.

I have a small castle-like thingy that costs RM31 back then. I lost the booklet for a long time and after soo many years, a few months ago, I decided to raid the internet for the instruction. And I found it! Now I rebuilt the whole thing, only one or two particles are missing, but that doesn't metter.  thumbup.gif

The one I'd been dreaming to own ages ago. RM 31.
Yea, this one! http://www.peeron.com/cgi-bin/invcgis/scans/6036-1?ct=1

And the others I own, no need photos then. rclxms.gif

http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/6709-1

This is the one I love best, costs RM15 back then. It's still in good condition.

Look for the old instruction that you lost here.

Hey guys,

Since this thread is getting slower, can I suggest that we post our reviews on sets that we have purchased to share with all the Lego fans outside? Talk abit of why do you think it's cool, price, pros and cons perhaps?

OK guys, just wanna ask a dumb question here. Since I'm collecting so many new Castle theme minifigs here, have anyone wonder if the silver colour hat of the minifigs will peel or something over time? I wonder if they mixed the silver colour together with the plastic before putting in the mould (which will then make the plastic that particular colour inside out) to produce it or basically just a coat of paint sprayed on the hat? Anyone mind to share their experience of the silver hat based on Lego's past quality? As per my knowledge, the chrome such as on some sword will crack over time but not too sure about the silver hat. Of course the grey or other coloured hat (past castle collection) will not have this problem because the colour is added before going to the mould just like the bricks.

from my guess... the silver helmet paint will not peal off. However, after long time has pass, the colour may degrade, which mean it will not as shinny as like the first time. Just like the silver aerosol paint, the paint will become dull. The more you touch, the faster they are become dull.
*
Thanks mate, so how's your castle collection? Getting bigger and bigger? Hmm... right now I'll try to buy more Castle's Final Joust set as I really love the horse and minifigs that comes with it. Also noticed most places are out of stocks for Castle's small set especially Crossbow Attack but guess they are replenishing it soon. Alan from Brickboy told me his new stocks are coming in this Friday rclxms.gif

Was at brickboytoys yesterday....New stocks havent arrive. Was told by Alan that new stocks will be ready in a few more days...

Get ready to visit his new shop at Midvalley!!!
*
Hmm...Yesterday I went to TRU Subang Parade and spotted some new Lego sets such as Star Wars' Sith Infiltrator and Naboo N1 Starfighter, surprisingly it's cheaper than expected.

However, I did not see them replenishing the Castle sets so I guess got to visit Brickboy really soon. I wonder if these toy stores purchaser really do any inventory analysis. So many places out of Castle small sets such as Crossbow Attack and Final Joust which I bought 11 and 10 sets respectively thumbup.gif

Hehe..Anyway Brickboy is opening at Mid Valley tomorrow (26/9/07).

Hmm..I guess I will not be going because I've got whatever I wanted from Parkson and TRU for the past few days. Initially I wanted to buy the huge castle but I seriously ran out of place in my display cabinet while hate to keep my Lego in open air. Now I need to fork out money to buy a huge display cabinet first that might cost more than the castle vmad.gif

Anyway you guys have fun there.

Found this on the website about how diehard castle fans were asked to give feedback on creation of new Castle theme. Interesting to see Lego conduct their test and their willingness to listen.

Hehe..Seems like all of us are drooling over the Castle theme now but based on the leak, these sets will only be coming out in April 2008. If April 2008 in Europe/US then we are gonna wait like crazy before it's in Malaysia vmad.gif But the good point is our wallet could breath for awhile tongue.gif

Lately can't sleep thinking of the huge castle that I have yet to get....

Man, I can't imagine how you are going to dust all your collection. That's what I don't want to, dusting...........So tomorrow I'll be going to Ikea to get their biggest display cabinet possible, if it's big enough tongue.gif I actually asked around for customization but it will cost me at least RM3000 for the size that I want and it will cost more than the huge castle alot vmad.gif

Hmmm.........Love for Lego is a headache when it grows too big.

About your EGO transforman thingy. Dont you think larger scale is easy to build? and can have more detail. Try to make some Macross F14.

I think lego transformer thingy is pretty interesting but you need to have loads of Tehnics and Exo-Force, planes and vehicles stuffs, which I don't really collect (though I have more than 15 of it) and personally do not have the time to experiment. I like to see MOCs though.

Hehe...Yesterday got my huge castle from Brickboy already, pretty impressive with the size of it and discovered I could put like 35 minifigs standing on the castle while the empty space inside could accommodate another 40 or so, alternately could keep horses. Now I have more than 60 castle minifigs and 15 horses brows.gif The problem is still waiting for my customize cabinet first before putting my minifigs out (now all 200 odd minifigs is in my display cabinet) rclxms.gif
