I bought it during 2004, it's hard to find it nowadays. maybe you can try your luck at Ebay.
anyway, here is the review from Michael's Review of The Week... http://www.mwctoys.com/REVIEW_050701.htm |

QUOTE(ahhoe80 @ Oct 27 2006, 11:15 AM) rusty nail and hangmen, i finally jumped into the bandwagon by purchasing a SDU breacher (Very Hot) from Ultimate Toys in Amcorp mall yesterday. well, guess all your questions had been covered by hangmen perfectly. But since you already have a wide range of figures to start out with (Dragon SWAT) and your huge range of CY-girls, i think it's the matter of time your 1/6 instinct kick back full throttle.the box cost me 240 bucks. at first the guy there (forgot his name) recommended me to get that Special Ops which rusty nail got but i was determined to get the SDU. he offered me the pointmaker and the breacher, i finally chose this one. he offered me 230 per unit IF i were to take both the breacher and pointmaker i will give pictures on what they give in the box but hangmen, could u give me advise on which to put on and which not to cos there are just so many items. how come the bulletproof vest is not level 4 like those Hot Toys? i tried putting the vest but the head seems to be too big for the vest to slot in, so i experimented and pulled the head, then the head pop off! pls do advise... im not sure what u guys called by good quality or not as im a newbie but the vests are alright.. its just that the equipments for the lad looks very delicate. i will try post some pictures becos i still dunno which to put on where haha.. like what hangmen said, Very Hot toys are mainly for kit bashing. and as for the nude figure, you can't pose much with it. same goes for hot toys rubbery figure. QUOTE(vincentlee83 @ Oct 27 2006, 07:31 PM) bought the BBI F15 and F18 pilots a few years back at a discounted price of RM80 each. For me those aviators are good enough for me. They even came with a stand. WTF!!! RM80RM398 for one single figure is way too much for me. I can't believe i spent RM220 on a limited edition F15 pilot from bii while i was still in school uniform. vincent, name your source please. |

QUOTE(Hangmen @ Oct 27 2006, 06:30 PM) Er, actually, Very Hot is simply a cheaper, pirated version of Hot Toys. Both me and Rusty agree it's quite 'good' because me and him had been into 1/6 action figure for a very long time (I think Rusty is much longer; I started back in 2001) and liked it for the tons of accessories it provided which makes kitbashing possible. Since VH is a lot more into mass-production than HT's limited edition release, the number of those in production are much higher, thus more accessories to kitbash yourself a whole team at a cheaper price. However, Very Hot isn't a good brand to start with because its quality, though generally good, isn't on par with the likes of Dragon, BBI and Hot Toys. I started back in 2000 with the Dragon anniversary WW2 Hans figure. The quality was way ahead of 21st century toys. During that time, the RRP for Dragon figures range between RM150-RM180. Some even as low as RM120. QUOTE(Rusty Nail @ Oct 28 2006, 08:35 AM) WTF!!! RM80 can't remember exactly which shop i got the F15 pilot but i know it was in mid valley megamall and it wasnt the current XL Shop. I can't believe i spent RM220 on a limited edition F15 pilot from bii while i was still in school uniform. vincent, name your source please. for the F18 pilot, i bought it from KK toys. Hangmen should be very familiar with it. QUOTE(Jackygwh @ Oct 28 2006, 01:44 PM) yeah, the quality is really good. I also got the BBI scar and carlos combo at an even cheaper price. I think it was less than RM60 each. They are good for parts scavenging. Especially the scar figure.KK toys as well. |

Even at that time, there are still some people who complained about the price being too high! QUOTE(vincentlee83 @ Oct 28 2006, 05:17 PM) Yep, because I'm a member there and I'm sure you're also a member there too. You'll get 15% discount and on 15th of February and 20th of August, you'll get 30% discount! Prices there tend to be higher than the ones in the Peninsula for obvious reasons and it's too bad there isn't that many good stuff there now besides old stocks with pricetags that seldom went down and an overstock of stuff for overrated series that sells (Gundam Seed models, Nartuo merchandise, etc). Now that I have better confidence in getting stuff online from either the Peninsula or even abroad (had ordered from Singapore so far), KK Toys felt forgettable unless I'm looking for older stuff that are hard to find. QUOTE(vincentlee83 @ Oct 28 2006, 05:17 PM) yeah, the quality is really good. I also got the BBI scar and carlos combo at an even cheaper price. I think it was less than RM60 each. They are good for parts scavenging. Especially the scar figure. I bought the Carlos figure twice; Scar once. All of em' are priced at RM70 - 15% member discount. Lots of part to loot! The plain OD BDU from Scar has a potential to be used as either clothes for a Nam' kitbash or Hamas/Hezbollah kitbash. Now I'm looking for a middle-easternish headsculpt, 3-hole hood, RPG-7 and a Soviet/Chicom vest that can accomodate AK mags.KK toys as well. OMG, that's Bran Rayan. you lucky devil. everytime i went there, all the goodies are snapped up by those in his 'caller's list'. plus if i'm not mistaken, there's never any figures sellng for less than RM180 at that time. (unless it's closing down sales which i regretably missed)QUOTE(hangmen) Ah, those good ol' days when 1/6 action figures were far cheaper and more affordable. Actually, same here (monthly allowance is quite low back then) but strangely, I'm not complaining. The 1/6 'propaganda' is so infectious I'd blow myself up for a modern Dragon Models figure and its accessory set. This post has been edited by Hangmen: Oct 29 2006, 09:40 AM |

wifi, do you have higher res of those pictures?
anyway, here's the customized SAW that i did by cannibalizing parts from VH M4 ![]() plus, i manage to find parts to pimp the M4 that i traded from wifi ![]() nothing specticular, just added a bipod. last but not least, i got bored with the 1990 Desert Storm Delta Force skud hunter commando and decided to make him into an SAS jungle commando instead ![]() and yes, i kinda messed up the jungle BDU. it's actually american. Hard to come across british parts nowadays. here's a teaser of what's coming up ![]() inspired by hangmen's desert commando he bashed some time back. Hey wifi, the camo seemed a lot more into concrete urban areas. I think it'll be much better if his head is left clean, but that's pretty much up to you. He would've looked nicer with more gears IMO.
Hey Rusty, the guy on the last pic seems armed with just about anything that the US Army has. I can tell that he's a grenadier of some kind (lotsa nades' hanging on his vest; manly tattoo) and chose to sacrifice some firepower and settling for something lightweight like an MP5 so that he can carry more things that went BOOM. Argh, now I'm getting some crazy bonar for an M249 SAW (never had one in my armory; nice mod BTW). |

this fig is defective cos the body right leg kinda putus/loose. didn't know what to do with it.. so simply attach minimum gear to be used as test dummy before applying it to other figs... my team almost complete already.. just no time to ask them to model for me.. kekekee c how lah... kinda busy this week. next week lagi mati.. need to be in hospital. |

Plus your understanding in weaponary could rival our local SF.![]() I'm not too sure what to call them. Maybe just guns for hire. The gernade fella is a CQB/demo/breacher crack commando. what better ways of clearing room with frags and flashbangs. the other dude with a berret is just a regular joe. toobad i've ran out of bacalava. his head looks too small for the berret. also tuned for CQB and speed entry with minimal gear especially the legs. don't want those knee pads slipping off like what happens to the rangers in Iraq. |

individual shots of my PMCs/ Mercs.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() well.. i didn't wanna spend time putting on more gear so here are all the shot.. till i get mood to bring them out on the field trip. still got alot of communication gear i yet to attach to all of them.. this is the first time i boldly destroy ori bdu with colors. basically i colored the bdu, vest and everything i can lay the brush on.. just to try on the effects. initially wanter to make them abit dirty instead of sparkling clean, but instead they turned out like just came out from the sewage system. |
