The new update from Samsung for non G model is horrible! 
I just finished charging my phone and after 1 hour of not using it, it's now only 10% battery left and they ask to connect the  charger. When it was on GB, I could use my PC to charge while my phone was on wifi and when I'm online on my phone. Now, the battery drains so fast when I use my PC to charge and when my phone is on standby mode. 

3 hour and 22 mins only, i am not impressed  what were you doing while the screen is on?

looking at ur stat make me scared of flashing to ICS ROM >.< could not afford the poor battery life lah....else i went uni sure havent go back home already battery dead==ah the dilemma of flashing~~~

the left side first part, you didnt screen on, your awake not so much but it still dipped like that, so you have some wakelocks problems, maybe kernel wakelocks. the other near horizontal parts of the graph also, shouldnt be that steep wan. if you can make it quite horizontal, then you powah ad. btw you not using battery saving apps to turn off your data right? could be reason why it dips like that.

if you dont touch your phone and every 30 mins the usaged is 5-10mAh then the battery life is very very good.

safely disconnect it like pendrive, will appear wan, when you choose you can see android or samsung something, then you just click safely remove la. will corrupt if you really unlucky, happened to me before, true story

I have to say cm9 standby time is not as great as gb but when in use it really does not drain alot at all. I really like the smoothness of cm9 and camera no shutter lag. At least i dun notice any.

finally, cm9 mode activated...but got a few thinggy:

1-cannot set camera storage to memory card instead of phone storage
2-still trying to find how to decrease the vibration intensity each time i press the screen.

but make sure you guys have enough time to flash it. coz it will definitely consume a lot of your time to customize everything!! enjoy..

yup, there's some other small thinggy that need to be sort out by the cm9 team.

i'm searching other kernel for cm9 and i noticed that only siyah kernel is compatible with cm9. but the latest one doesn't support MTP feature which is not good!!

Guys I've just acquired a SGS 2 from my friend and Im looking to flashing it to a rom that's stable and fast. Thinking of the new ICS release.

Currently the phone has been flashed to an earlier version of ICS, and it is not stable. Keeps freezing and rebooting randomly.

Coming from the Motorola camp, it really is different how things get done. Im having trouble following the steps in XDA-developer as it is not detailed enough if i compare it to youtube vids.

Anyone has a clear step by step direction on a how-to?

yo, i've extracted the Zimage from the custom kernel i used to root my wife's I9100G. do i need to flash it via CWM>>Mounts and storage>>mount /efs?

is this correct? i don't want to use odin any more though.

last time i did this is for my i9100, which is easier that G version.

Just a random thought, smartphone makers should not design a smartphone that has a thin profile.
Because no matter how thin it is, most users will still make it thick by applying a case on the phone.

Should make it like HTC One S then. The unibody case is 3 times stronger than stainless steel !!!

This is camera ics plus apps that can record 720p and 1080p, I just try and it work, this is alternative until codeworkx fix stock ics camera that can't record above 480p

All video recording had been fixed for stock camera.

HTC One X has no external memory card slot. This is a significant setback for most people.
Many people will not buy it... I think
