exactly! duno why that noob never sync to google.


after using kies to export all contacts, there is one prob.
each contact has seperate vcf file. means it generate 200+ vcf files.
big prob cause google contact website only can upload one by one.

so i google and found a solution wana share.

1. copy all vcf file into folder and rename to "contacts", then move folder to C:\
2. press window + R
3. type "CMD" then press ok
4. type "cd C:\contacts" then enter
5. type "copy *.vcf all.vcf" then enter

tada, you will have a file called "all.vcf"
upload this to google contact and all contacts will be saved.

very good tips for new android users.

You turn off so many things, its as good as a dumbphone with a big screen :s

But you can use a totally black wallpaper. Maybe turn off the phone totally if not in use if you're that particular about power. lol

Install driver via kies, does this apply to:

a. PC
b. Phone
c. Both PC and Phone?

Yes, I did this before as well, not necessary if you're creating vcf from phone.

Where to get that wallpaper? Google Play? I can't find one in the stock files.

Yeah from time to time i will on back 3g to get my whatsapp messages...but thats about it... don't want to turn the phone off cuz expecting normal calls and sms too.

just download a totally black picture and stuff it inside ur gallery.
Then use that as wallpaper.

Bought FIFA12 for Android when I was using GB.

Came to ICS, FIFA12 is no longer supported on your device.

Found an app for the black wallpaper but not for the lock screen...darn.

You don't need an app for wallpaper, just a black picture is enough.

For lockscreen, maybe check out apps like spareparts or something to change it.

I forgot how i did it but my lockscreen is black.

go to Settings > Wireless & Networks > USB Utilities
make sure ure not connected to the pc 1st. after u've done this, then only u connect.

u can check whether kies is running or not on ur task manager.

what is the best app out there to edit a .vcf file ?

no need to turn on 3g to get whatsapp message..still can get whatsapp message even using gprs
