Hi bro. Due to cost, I decided to go with Reliance Aluminium door instead. Around RM7++ per door + labour for dismantling old door frame.

Your reno look like hotel reno bro. I found another reno thread here 200k is less luxury than ur 120k. Btw, where u got the lighting in living room?

Is that floor using tiles or vynil?
*
Thanks for your compliment. My lighting are just normal 2 x PLC 18W downlights(External ballast) bought from one of the shop in Jalan Ipoh forgotten the name, sorry.

Flooring using tiles, matt instead of glossy because they can hide dust and dirt really well. Purposely choose color that resembles cement to bring out the concept.

Hi bro just curious
What was your first task once u got ur hse key ? (assuming no extension / alteration )
*
Bring contractor for viewing, explained to them my requirement and design then wait for them to provide quotation. All design homework had been done 3-4 month prior to taking keys. Once you agreed to the price from a reliable contractor, next is to do shopping for tiles, bathroom fixtures etc.

Do not put lump sum deposit, just pay them by stages. I requested final amount to stay at 20% or else no deal. Some contractor will state final amount 5-10% but when you asked them to finished all final work before releasing payment, they never turn up, rather forfeit this amount if they deem the mess it not worth doing.

If the contractor is financially stable, they will agree to this request. I don't want to engage those that's facing money problem because it's risky.

I renovating my 3rd floor balcony.
And I want to installed this type of windows.
Where do you got it?
What is the price?
Thanks
*
Window price around 7.8K, that was 6 years ago. I did not purchase windows personally, source by main contractor. His contact number no longer working, try to google local windows supplier, save a copy of the photo as reference. If you have the time, perhaps can visit Perfect Living Expo at PWTC on 12th Nov 2015.

Hey,
Do you think that this type of windows would block noice from nearby traffic?
Or I need to buy with enough thickness?
BTW thanks for the dimensions.
You're great.
*
These are normal glass windows, sound elimination only minimal. You want soundproof then go for double glazed windows. Please check with windows manufacturer.

Really like your end result. Digging that low-concealed lighting (where your living hall meets the raised wooden makan area flooring).
*
Thanks, L box needed as raised platform makes the ceiling lower plus I need the fan in the middle so lights have to go around the edge.

Your renovated home turned out beautifully. I really like it.

May I ask if you would be willing to share your contractor's contact details?

Thanks.
