This happened about 1 month ago. Guocera showroom price for the tile I was looking for = $6.80, then I got the dealer list from Guocera salesperson and went to a nearby dealer to order tiles. Super ceramic quoted me $8.50 per pcs, after I paid only I realized the tiles I was buying was $6.80 because got confused with some other series. For bros that donno, from my experience tile dealer price is NEVER HIGHER than the showroom price. Showroom price is always mark up so dealers have room for profit.

They refused to give me refund or rectify the problem. The boss even acknowledge that tile dealer price (which is himself) shouldn't be higher than showroom but just ignore my complaints. Just today I went to get more of the same tiles from shop in SS2 and the price is $6.80. This reminded me of their ripoff so I need to post this to vent my anger vmad.gif

$1.70 x 600 piece = $1,020. This big tile chain chop me $1k more for tiles and think they should get away with it. So I'm letting all sifus here be very careful with.

Super Ceramic Tiles (Puchong) Sdn Bhd.
Lot 8248, Jalan 222, Section 51A, 46100 Petaling Jaya.
They have like 5-6 branches, so be very careful if you do decide to purchase form them!

Super Ceramic tiles prices not the cheapest in town and I found out a lot of tiles prices overpriced...

I can get much more cheaper prices with same grade and brand at other places...

So, for me, I won't recommend Super Ceramic to my friends...

If you in PJ area, go to tile shop same row with RHB bank in SS2, boss is an old man and very honest in his pricing. Just get code from showroom then order from him. I went to this Super ceramic because a contractor said their price OK oso, so I gave it a try didn't know 1st time they already make me blacklist them.

I think the bro whom said it was my fault is missing the point. I have a couple projects under reno and sometimes I need to buy 10 different tiles and making a mistake on some of the price is normal. If there's this shop that every price you have to double check as to make sure they don't chop you, then this is definitely not a place you would want to go, because they take advantage of you whenever the opportunity arises.

I brought most of my tiles there, I don't find them expensive. The sales girl even told me if want to get Niro or Guocera, some model are cheaper outside, because they don't take stock. Some model they stock by container and are cheaper.
I would say the lady was helpful, help me source some of the shortage, and get from difference warehouse.

Owner got to do the homework, and know the price before buying anything. My Niro, I got direct from Niro during sales.

I actually called Guocera showroom about this when it first happened, basically I had a valid concern because the dealer contact was from the list they gave me, not a random shop I walked into.

Then the girl in charge say they cannot enforce price on their dealers but generally dealer price should be cheaper. Maybe next time they remove super cemaric from their dealer list that's it. Wat to do, this is Malaysia rclxub.gif

Sifu weikee I know you're experienced in reno but the stocking excuse is a LIE. I can confirm this 100% because I ordered this a week before CNY they just call the local supplier in Puchong or Gombak and checked for availability and I was sitting there waiting. Nowadays tile dealers where got stock tiles one, there are thousands of different tiles and not to mention different brands stocking does not make any economical sense.

Even this shop in SS2 I'm talking about the boss told me that they don't stock any tiles because nowadays too many varieties. They have some stock but very very old tiles > 5 years he told me new tiles he just order straight from the local supplier. Since we're retail customer obviously if we order from supplier they won't layan you.

Therefore it is obvious this Super ceramic just thought I look like the type where they can chop another 20% price off. But anyways the point of this thread is to warn others, if you think they are fine hey go ahead it's your money not mine!

You go SS behind HSBC Jalan Ipoh, they have one big azz warehouse. When they don't have stock in 222, the sales lady ask me to wait another day for the logistic to arrange. I can't wait and go direct to their warehouse. Is super huge.

I don't collect any commission from them, I am just sharing experience.

Is good to warm people, even some seller have good rating got some -ve comment by forumer, e.g. our trusted "Builder Hardware" and Unity got forumer complain. That does not make them bad supplier. It maybe the staff.

very agree with u...after i study the price, all the tiles that i used are sold expensive at super ceramic..especially white horse...i kena chopped almost double the price...haha..unless we buy their promotional items...

It is not super ceramic fault...it is our fault who do not study before buy......

Yes, and most of the tiles i got from SS are their own import tiles from India, Indonesia, and Vietnam. I was also given advice by the sales lady try to buy one goal, if possible don't replenish later. This is because each batch have variation in color and cutting even for Grade A. True enough, even Niro sales person, and the tiler sifu told me.

Another place home owner can go is at the end of Jalan Tandang. The tile shop toward the end, (think is beside old IPmuda warehouse). They sell many variation of tiles, and price is reasonable too.

did ur contractor bring u to the shop or did u tell them that ur contractor recommended you? Most probably the price difference = ur contractor's commission.

I bought at Buimaco in USJ. So far price reasonable.
They sell non 2nd grade tiles.
Most tiles branded. virtually all local brands are there.
Can not find the vietnam and China no brand things there.
May not be the cheapest but so far for me, not yet come across the time where I feel " mad.gif aiya, kena con vmad.gif "

I guess, the main point is that you have to find a knowledgable and sincere sales person. nod.gif

I bought Niro & Guocera at Buimaco Jln Ipoh, the person in-charge Ms.Chin quite nice, price ok also.

Always compare few shop lor, thn you can avoid been con.. and my advise dont go far away from your house, sometime you need re-order some short tiles..

+1. Actually there are no 'honest' ppl i the business world. Its whether they requirement / mark-ups are too much or just simply fit our pocket. Anyway not too late too learn also and thanks for sharing. nod.gif I bought from Buimaco before, they're at PJ oldtown area, somewhere near to MML showroom. Seriously watch out for Guocera products, we had a really really bad experience with their HQ staff and their product quality.
