Prefer the 1650 for the fast aperture.

1680Z is pretty sharp, Nutz has it, I think.

Ahstong has the 16105 and 1650 and did a comparison somewhere before.

Warranty tied to the body if i recalled correctly.

So, your lens is at the mercy of the owner of the body.

Not worth it at all.

Actually the 16105 and 1680z, the dif is really not much, in term of color and sharpness, contrast maybe

b4 i got my 16105, i got a very good offer from a ex-Alpha user @ 1800 2 months lens. but i choose the 16105 new @ 1630.

the reason is simply, 1) i need longer reach, 2) the earlier version of 1680 got quality issue (gear problem)

the 1650 not just brighter/faster, but with the SSM, it make the lens get focus super fast especially pair with A77

i was hoping this new A77 kit less is the rumors 1680 2.8-3.5 G SSM whereby 16-50 at constant 2.8
