QUOTE(daddyVW @ Apr 6 2007, 11:27 AM) I need some advise here. Appreciates and thanks in advance. My question is about proper setup for toman at place like air ganda. well for a noob like me, I'd prepare these to go Air Ganda...I made my mind not to get BC 1st. My friend poisoning me soooooo bad even not allow me to borrow his as i asked for testing session. He said its bored and i'm going to waste my money as its not going to suit all/every fishing spot and restriction etc etc as what spinning can offer. I also have lesser time to practice as i only have less than 2 more weeks to go. I heard good comments about fream J (but too bulky.. don't you think?). Previously tot to get Abu 800 series but after Kepong trip saw it from China then cancell.. I want something proven good and can last long. I need to know whole setup (in Ib and brand) for Spinning reel Rod Line Leader Anything else i miss? Spinning Reel: No comment, cause practically have no experience with these, but I'd say get a model which can hold about 200m of lines with a good drag.. Rod: a MH Fast 10-25lbs Line: Braided 30lbs (maybe 40lbs) Leader: Fluorocarbon based, 40lbs and above with at least 3 feet of slack... (learn up FG knot and albright knot) if you're using lures, I'd advise you to use better quality hooks and split rings, as there's reports mentioning that the treble hooks get straightened during the fight.. this is my 2 cents.. |

wah... 50lb?!?! kasi lar the fish chance to fight and win a bit..
get those branded treble hooks like gamakatsu, owner, mustad, etc but can be quite expensive.. loosen the drag a little, then chances of straightened hooks ccan be reduced.. if snag, then you better get a lure retriever thingy, the one that has a steel chain at the end... for leaders, reputable brands are Berkeley, Sufix Tritanium, or the one sifu rory asked me to get for him, Alpha-Ex, cost less than Rm10 for 60m.. hahaha.. as of now, only this pier noob online to "layan" you mar.. so for the time being, go do more research lar.. bro VW, I where got poison you to get Zillion? i let you test only mar.. like that also poison ar? tot you already confirmed to get the Revo STX? Sifu rory, I asked the bike shops around SJ, they said the patch's glue will not work well on PVC and with water, the glue will leave residue and very difficult to clean when you wanna redo the patch.. better get those heavy duty patch designed to repair inflatable boats... QUOTE Bro Tinkerfy, bro klmt, Wahhhh ... yr teenage momma toman weights heavier than yr momma toman wan ar? That's a bit strange ... ohmy.gif Anyway, you caught those tomans at 'spot1' ? And I heard some really bad news ... cry.gif mana ada strange? Teenage Momma Toman, 2nd fish was Momma Haruan ler... what bad news? Added on April 16, 2007, 6:36 pm QUOTE(daddyVW @ Apr 16 2007, 11:57 AM) He He He.. free meal aa... so syiok woo.. let me do some correction for you..While we on the way he said that he never catch anything before.. i said to him.. patience bro.. That day his lucky day la... even while CBH also caught big momma.. i said "I never caught any fish with my lures and fenwick rod before" hahaha really lucky with the CBH incident... his probably bored of fishing liao..
or maybe he doesn't want to fish, cos the rate of his hookup will be much higher than ours, causing the "unpoisoning" effect again... hehehe how much is the total cost to go Air Ganda? if once a month, i also wanna join!! |
