Hmm..flash ICS using Mobile Odin and everything went smoothly without losing root or data. Done within 10 minutes. Time for testing. Certain app not supported by ICS anymore ~~duhh~~

Woot nice. Let us know the results of your testing brows.gif

Buggy.. can't find any bug on ICS at the moment. Everything working fine as it should be though I personally never like ICS. Even my GNex just sitting quietly inside its box :-P
err...when will they release Jelly Beans.??

If you like fancy things and features than better wait for custom roms. If compared vis by vis with stock GNex, I would say ICS on S2 (minus TW) is on par or nearly the same if not better than GNex. Except for Android Beam that is missing since we don't have NFC, nearly all features can be use in stock S2 ICS. Only thing is the home button might get spoilt by the end of the year since we gonna use a lots with it ~~duhh~~
*
Cool. Only "fancy" thing I fancy (no pun intended) is JKay really, don't need a custom rom for that (since now swipe notifications is in built into ICS)

Yeah, hoping someone moves menu button to multitask dedicated button, don't think we need menu button in ICS huh tongue.gif

Apart from that, waiting for your feedback on battery life as well.

But yeah, haven't been following JKay, but will move over to ICS when there's JKay lol

I think now temporary we need menu button, since most apps dont have the 3 dot/menu thing yet, so on gnex its at the on screen buttons place. Since we dont have on screen buttons, then if no menu button, we cant access menu in games, so that would be troublesome  tongue.gif

Added on March 14, 2012, 11:03 am
Ok no problem  smile.gif
*
Yeah true also. Actually not temporarily, think generally will need. Sads

But no ICS for me till Jkay is out biggrin.gif

QUOTE(mtxx @ Mar 14 2012, 11:20 AM)
very frustrated with all the little bugs in ics.

the battery icon on the notification bar is useless,
i use rom toolbox to change it to an icon that can display percentage.

working fine in GB, although the change is not that accurate, buts its still good.

i will only change every5%. means from 100%, it will drop to 95%, 90%, 85% etc....
(the description says this is a 1% sensivity, but practically is 5%, the battery widget i use can display uptil 1% sensivity.)

now on ics, the same battery icon that i install, is changing in 10% sensivity, this is not acceptable at all....:-(

can you guys recomend me some method how to change it?
preferbably one that has 1% sensivity.

i'm so sick of this ics multiple small issue.
the lock screen is jerky, sometimes lag while unlock, sms got sent twice when i use hancent, send one but receive 2.
when searching for wifi, sometimes settings will fc. (settings also can FC, really speechless, happen 3 times this morning)
haiz....

if i discover more bugs, i wana restore back GB already....
but too addicted to the swipe notification and browser....

haiz...samsung...why you no release a proper ics.....
why
*
Browser can't help you, but for swipe notifications on GB, you can flash Checkrom or Turkbey rom

Hmmm the bugs people reported on wanamlite thread make me rethink installing his current version. Maybe just to try out will flash his deodexed fully stock rom instead. doh.gif

Yeah first official SGS2 ICS kinda giving bad experience to people as there seems to be little diff with leak version (which have small bugs here and there).
*
What kinda bugs are most apparent currently on the released firmware?

Take out your SD card first. Then restore using TB. After that only put back your sdcard into your phone.

How come need to take out SD card first one?

My TB backups are on my external SD card, should I move em to internal? Is it like an ICS thing? o.o

Samsung didn't claim all that. It's the infamous insider who claimed Samsung are doing all that

I burst into laughter after looking at my post.  doh.gif
Secondary school student here, forgive me?  oops.gif
Got it, but some say do not have to do full wipe wo... And they say without the wipe also can work like charm, no problems etc. I admit I'm lazy to backup and restore all my data again as it's very slow.  unsure.gif
*
Not trying to put you down or troll you, just thought it was funny lol

How bout backing up your data first to be sure. Then try one without full wipe.

But like some others might say, problems can crop up a little later if you don't do full wipe. Restoring process is not that long if you figure out what you need to do ahead of time. PRO version of TB allows batch restore somemore

I did a factory reset because I want my ICS to work better.  laugh.gif

Yeah at times I don't do wipes myself, especially when upgrading in same version.

Moving from GB to ICS, should probably do a wipe

Guys anyone of you know how to lower the volume of taking a screenshot and taking pictures?
Very damn loud la can wake the whole house liao  doh.gif

Played around with the sound settings, nothing worked.  doh.gif
*
Supposed to be tagged to system sound, but think by default they don't allow you to off shutter sound.

Can go to /data/local.prop (add this file if you don't have one), and add the line:

CODE
ro.camera.sound.forced=0

Works for GB, not sure bout ICS

I want the sound but not that loud, it's so annoying...  doh.gif

Try that, think it just doesn't force the sound (forced = 0)

So then it'll probably go along with your system volume
