QUOTE(syahmie_dbf1430 @ Mar 12 2012, 01:35 PM) erm.. i do like 10.1 inch screen size... more powerful of course... bigger is better for me since it is tablet not phone.. buying the prime is the best choice u'll ever makeseem like i will go for asus.. but for the feedback, is everyone satisfied with this tablet?? lol this is my first time buying tablet n i need to choose it right.. money is not the problem... some say the wifi is weak, but i didn't face any issues on this, i tested it with my other 2 android phones, it gets almost the same signal strength as both, so i don't know what are ppl complaining about for me, the best thing about it is the keyboard dock, seriously, it's the BEST functioning hardware of all, no tablets in the market (except for the yet to launch Chinese brands) has this advantage, because i'm traveling a lot and needs to do remote access to my linux servers (do a lot of command typing), the keyboard dock serves me very well, the tablet is docked 70% of the time, and in heavy usage the battery can last me at least 2 days! and i bought a heavy duty bag (for 10 inch gadgets) which is quite small, but it can put in quite a lot of stuff, it's like a Doreamon magic pouch that has infinity space inside. I got the prime inside, then put in a portable speaker (edifier mp221), portable HDD (WD 1TB), charger, a pendrive, and a bluetooth mouse. When i pull out everything everybody who saw me do it was and the best thing about the prime is it's storage, it's got 32gb already, but i can put in a normal 32gb SD card and a 32gb micro SD card, which means it now has around 120gb of storage capacity. i haven't even plug in my 1TB portable HDD yet. Watching 1080p bluray rip movies is absolutely perfect, i've tested a movie that is 9gb big and it plays smoothly with MX player with software sound decoding. QUOTE(max_75 @ Mar 12 2012, 06:58 PM) you can only justified this base on requirement. I'm using Motorola Defy as smart phone for more than a year and still no intention to replace it because it suite my needs more than enough. me too, using desire HD until now, still loving it, will use it till it's broken.IMHO, this kind of dilemma exist since 486 PC age.. but he's right about using it to the max also, no point in buying a high performance gadget and let it collect dust |

QUOTE(meeninme @ Mar 13 2012, 04:21 PM) I think you're transferring a movie more than 4gb. i didn't even bother formatting it to NTFS, just use FAT and transfer is ok even for files more than 10gb, but slow only. prefer to plug in to PC and transfer from there, much faster. To avoid the error, format it to NTFS rather than FAT32. Just played Transformer I movie sized 10+gb from a class 4 microsd. Watched smoothly from mx player. QUOTE(meeninme @ Mar 13 2012, 04:48 PM) yeah, i also tried bluray rip movies that are above 10gb, nice smooth playback on MX, but really not much difference between that and full DVD movies that are 4gb due to the small screen |

QUOTE(jackyyong @ Mar 20 2012, 08:30 PM) Another question again, can the Prime connect to a normal printer via its USB and print documents from it, e.g. .doc files? Gotta make sure if I'm gonna spend RM2k+ on it.... fyi, u will need to install the printer's driver in order to use it, and most drivers are windows based |

QUOTE(chrono7 @ Mar 22 2012, 11:25 AM) Mine also C10KAS. i'm still using stock browser and dolphin HD. sometimes stock browser quite slow, don't know why. My friend's xoom using stock browser is faster than mine.My GPS never work, but to be honest, I never need to use it. I already have a dedicated GPS navigation and iPhone if I don't have it with me. Wifi speed is ok ok I think. So far I dont get disconnection and rendering speed depends on website. My main usage is reading manga and watching movie and anime. This beast saves my hassle to convert videos and I already got the feeling that I cannot part with it. Too convenient to let go. What I observe here is some people is being too paranoia or perfectionist. Complain and only look at the negative side. On a side note, which browser you guys mainly use? I am using ICS+ since I like their lab feature. However I noticed it rendered quite slowly on XDA website. |

QUOTE(httey300 @ Mar 23 2012, 09:55 PM) if i want buy for playing game only... if u r rich, dull, and only uses tablet to play games, nothing else, then iOS is the obvious choicebuy ipad or asus transformer prime is better? which one download game no need pay money? android games vs apple games which one is better or more game? if u r not rich (like most of us), appreciates beauty and uses tablet to do all sorts of stuff (like u use a laptop), then of course the T.Prime is the obvious choice |

QUOTE(httey300 @ Mar 23 2012, 10:31 PM) if gps isn't important to you, then it is the perfect tablet. i replaced my laptop with it, it can do almost 90% of the stuff i can do with my laptop, but the laptop can't even accomplish 50% of the things that can be done on the Prime. |

QUOTE(christcwl9 @ Mar 26 2012, 01:52 AM) Well i am iPad2 owner i already used to the smoothness in IOS. I wonder how smooth is android 4.0 as i nvr used it beforeĀ smooth as silk even after i bombarded it with tons of scrollable widgetsBTW, the specs of Transformer prime is kinda attracting =D of course iOS is smooth, it only has ONE FUNCTION and that is to open apps on it's home screen, that's why we call it the apple app drawer (as in android app drawer). QUOTE(ryanlaw.cs @ Mar 27 2012, 03:26 PM) you know why... because those Telco in SG giving out frees or sell it at very damm low price after sign up with inexpensive contract plan... so most Singaporean there uses iPhone =.=" SG ppl started converting to android phones already, most of them changed from iphones to samsung especially the Note. U know y? because SG ppl really kiasuAdded on March 27, 2012, 3:36 pm and forgot to put this.... http://www.engadget.com/2012/03/27/htc-one...ost-impressive/ it really outperformed the Tegra 3 and benchmark scores doesn't really mean anything, real world usage is more important. plus, the 1x is a phone, it can't be compared to a tablet, if want to compare these 2 totally different things for real world usage then the 1X will only win in 1 aspect, it's phone functions, other than that, it is utterly useless compared to the Prime. |

QUOTE(doggydogg @ Mar 27 2012, 08:12 PM) to name a few this is weird, i don't face any issues on performance mode however i use it. never draw line before so no comment on this. been playing a lot of 3d games for quite a while, no flickering whatsoever. what batch is your T.Prime? mine is 2nd batch.performance mode not stable, drawing diagonal end up it being wavy straight line, random pixel dead zone(only happen once to me), certain 3d games get serious flickering half way playing through it. if they fix all these? mother of the holy cows with golden syrup milk, its the perfect tablet of all times lol |

QUOTE(doggydogg @ Apr 6 2012, 05:25 PM) cannot compare spec to spec, even ipad 2 smoother than TP at certain times and running certain stuff. apple is a software company, their software stability is much better than android. android limitation is le random lag will appear regardless of what spec u use. the better the spec the lesser these stuff appear. ive sampled clean & stock galaxy tab 7.7 for a week, when its smooth, its smooth, but at times it just randomly lags. i love the potantial and user experience android can bring to the table, but sometimes its just not doing the hardware enough justice. for TP, its almost perfect, but due to android's limitation, these kind of stuff happens. Google really need to buckle on their mobile OS. u need to understand how android works. it is a full blown OS in which it tries to do everything at once, iOS is NOT a full blown OS, it's just an app drawer that has only one function - to open apps, that's it. how stupid are the guys at apple to screw it up when their product only does one thing? if it still lags when performing it's only function it's basically useless and nobody is going to use itjust my personal opinion on android, just like when the PC age reaches quad core, its like its reaching its peak. PC when using dual core still suka suka lag abit. TP on quad core? It did overcome alot of old android problems running dual core and below CPU lol. now the only problem i have with TP and android is the hardware ecosystem not yet been fixed!! |
