This is really a matter of chicken and egg situation. Do not expect any apps now that can utilize quadcore as it is just available. Same scenario most apps now not even cater for duo core
If you are buying quadcore , I would say immediate benefits is in faster and smoother multitasking . You are also buying into future possibilities quadcore will bring
By the time apps mainly available for quadcore, quadcore than will already be outdated already. Than we will be seing hexa or even octa core !!!

thanks. this is really helpful. thumbup.gif

i'm really tempted to buy this for a few reason
1) the 12mp camera
2) the 32gb internal memory
3) the transparent bar
4) i am a part time sony fans also
but what i am afraid of
1) will dual core phone get outdate soon ? as we can see the trend is going into quad core already
2) screen is not big enough to satisfy me laugh.gif
3) product realiability

i've been following this thread silently , and like one of the forumer here , also stuck with this phone or the htc one x
*
why not juz buy a samsung tablet 7 plus? you can make phone call and sms. my friend is using it as a phone.

1) hmm...i think dual core is sufficient to last us until the next gen phone... flex.gif flex.gif
2) wah, 4.3 inches, still not big enough? LOL! then u must get Tab 7 inches liao, or straight 10 inch tablets! tongue.gif
3) depends on luck...sure got lemon wan, but mostly Sony products that i used before tends to have great mileage... rclxms.gif

say, nobody commented further on the flaps for the ports? already in the market for a month or so, if there is any wear and tear due to poor construction, should be evident by now rite? blush.gif

Regarding Duals and Quads.

Quad is just starting and according to the benchmark tests (Google please)

Dual Core A9 performs better than Quad A7 at the moment.

Also, I don't understand the complaints, when the processor "grows", the battery life will be shorter so what next? Complaints on the short battery life/warm phone/processor too good? Lol.

And quote from Benny: "By the time apps mainly available for quadcore, quadcore than will already be outdated already. Than we will be seing hexa or even octa core !!!"

Only if you are their customer. Same like Maxis, you can do outright purchase if you are their existing customer or become their new customer.
*
Even if I'm just using their prepaid and not postpaid? Still can buy outright?

Telco aren't stupid. To buy phone from them, you either are their existing customer, or be their new customer.

you have problem with maxis? i've been seeing the same remark from last couple of pages.

Wrong. SE phone for year 2010 is total failure - AKA all X10 family.

my suggestion, go get Xperia Arc (S), Neo (S), or Pro

Bought my Xperia Neo last year on rm900+ and now drop to 700+..Ap set of course
