It was gift from family member,origin unknown.

You can find these for sale occasionally in some Arowana forums in FB and they are not that expensive really.
About RM500 for a 3-inch specimen. But you have to be careful whether it is a Myanmar Batik or Nami Green.
To me, the body shape and coloration is not really that attractive. The only unique point of this species is the batik pattern on their bodies. Apart from that the fish is rather dull, like a Green Aro. Just my 2 cents.

Generally true. Like Ron C, I find certain traits not so desirable but the breed has not been altered much compared to other breeds and given right condition grows very large. Not every individual develops intense pattern, some less than others but generally better than Nami.
