Good choice! I travel around 120km/trip everyday to work from Klang to KL. Everyday prolly 2-3 hours total driving time. biggrin.gif

Plus, if use DUKE, your husband prolly stuck in the traffic jam at EXIT 3301.

... And I thought every new employment requires MOC's approval. This is what I heard from IPS office.

just curious, is petronas PTW needs to be done everytime(even yours still valid) theres a major accident happened?
*
PTW has now become a compulsory for everyone across Carigali. For SBO, competency card is compulsory too for all contractors.

More and more paperworks at site I guess.

just kidding. the amount of spoonfeeding requests in this thread is too damn high it amazes me.  rclxm9.gif

You should choose companies that offer the highest job in the market, the one that offers you a company car with a driver so that you don't have to trouble yourself to go to work, the one with the least scope of works and full benefits. laugh.gif

Added on August 14, 2012, 9:21 amOh yes, I forgot to share.

Fresh grads, you may want to consider joining TM. They offer RM3,500 for fresh grads.

Wish to apply Kencana Bestwide as an Electrical Engineer. Heard they want to form an engineering department to do design. Anybody have experience about this company?
*
To my knowledge, Bestwide handles overseas projects. Not sure if they have in-house engineering dept but to be honest, I never see Bestwide or Kencana as engineering companies.

hi all

i would like to have advise n opinion from all the seniors about my situation here..

im a mechanical eng background, currently almost 3 yrs working in construction.. all this time, trying to jump into OnG field but still cant get the oppurtinity.. so i decided to continue study in M.Sc petroleum engineering to increase my chances on jumping into OnG.. is it a right step or not? your feedback is highly appreciated.. Tq
*
No harm in doing that but not so sure whether it will increase your chances or not because Petroleum Engineering is not my field. There are a few seniors here that can you some opinions.

Anyway, since you have construction experience, you should try applying to fabricators such as MHB (fka MMHE), SapuraKencana (fka Kencana), THHE (fka Ramunia) and other smaller fabricators. Your experience should be relevant.

Dear seniors :

How will you guys gather true site experience?
or I just write it myself on my resume?

Or I gather all the work progress for that particular project,
and attach for my future use for resume purpose for justification by HR?

But IMHO, for fresh start, should concentrate on paperworks and design instead of field works.
Get yourself familiar with specifications used in the industry. You don't even have think to read and think while in field jobs

sometimes, i fell like i am 'bangla' doing the field jobs.
*
You should join semiconductor & electronics industries. They worked in air-conditioned labs and rooms.
