Hi guys!
I am driving a Viva 1.0 auto. Whenever I drive along the highway passing 100kmph (or sometimes 90kmph), I could sense that my car would 'sway' slightly to the left and right, as if the car is going against the wind very hard.
I never lowered my ride but I did changed the rim and tyres to 14'inch. I regularly service my car with a mechanic and I already did balancing and alignment twice, but the problem still appears.
Is it because the car is too light? Should I consider lowering my ride? Is there any BIG difference if we lowered our car?
Please advise. Thanks!
check your tyre pressure. i had this exact same problem even driving with vios and audi before.

Last time I asked the shop under my office (which is also a forumer here) selling promotion Trans brand speakers. Specially for viva they will make a custom wooden housing to separate the speakers from the door.
I bought the parts myself and sent it to workshop. Lots of imitations, including Perodua's. The guy from Raydiance Motorsport told me the important part is the back mounting, the rest is fine. Never buy cheap brand mounting just because it's a tad cheap. Learned it the hard way

Estimation under 1k with labour I guess.
Maybe it's the mounting. I changed my mounting weeks ago and it seems to get rid of the problem. Might be because they disassemble the battery also, hence resetting the ECU. I simply can't say, that's my theory lah
What brand of tyres are you using? I noticed after I put on 165/50/15 Falken Azenis (Indonesian made) on my 15x7jj they car sways more than my previous tyres too which was I think Falken Zeix 165x55x14 on 14x6jj. I got a feedback from a friend he sold his Falken Azenis just after 3 days because it sways too much
Oh and hey!
Who here wanted to buy my 14x6jj Black TE37 with red lining coupled with Falken tyres? Still got lots of threads on this one. Can PM me

if it sways when u hit a small bump on the road OR going thru bumpy road, u are experiencing bumpsteer
usually associated to cars that are lowered and very apparent for Kcars such as kelisa, kenari and our viva also have this.
can be countered if u adjust the height back to stock height or u can custom bumpsteer kit at RCS sunway (would be expensive i suppose as there is no aftermarket bumpsteer kit for viva)
for those with stock car, stock car height and rims, if u experience sway when driving on highway it could be due to tyre pressure imbalance.
get your tyre pressure checked and balanced and u shld be fine.

:: install aftermarket speaker at front door, seems like window will hit
speaker when fully down.how to mounting the speaker? add nuts?
and how to cut oem speaker cover at door trim?
i think its better to bring to audio shop and let them handle it rather than DIY bro
just my 2 cents. anyways, if the back part of the speaker *magnet or sumting* is too huge , usually the audio shop would get a custom enclosure for the door panel to fit the speaker.

I experienced it for the first time at Wednesday at Penang Bridge. Thought my car tyre puncture lol.. After I slow down then I don't feel it anymore.
Btw, my car is nearing the 1 month period and I planned to send my car for service/check up at the Authorized SC. Any payments that I need to be prepared of?
if not mistaken *or forgotten* first service is FOC i suppose

Don't drive too fast with viva la

. Haha.
Anyway, my current setup is :
- 15"x6.5jj with 175/50/R15
- GAB sport spring
- stock absorber
I can still feel the 'sway' problem in high speed although it's less compared to stock.
Added on May 17, 2012, 1:15 pm100-130kmh is more stable. But still if any big lorry or buses i overtook or they overtook me on highway, my car will still be thrown to the other side

bro, try installing front lower bar. shld help.
or u can go chop shop to source for front D-Sports sway bar aka anti roll bar. it is thicker than stock sway bar.
i just installed mine and the steering feel so much more solid

Anyone here got any experience installing Hot Bits Injection kit with Heat Shield? And some Lightened Crank Pulley? I can't seem to find them.
It's the Engine Mounting. I had the same problem before, changed it and it's now gone.
I also tend to put it to N when slowing down to a stop. Or else
Accelerate I don't know. If idle maybe the timing belt
There were lots of sound before I sent my car for major service. When I put my car in "R" got lots of clanking noises coming from the engine bay. Had the mechanic checked it out, it was the heatshield that cover the extractor was loose. Just screw it back in tightly, now no more

ive used hotbits heatshield with the K&N filter set. bought from speedworks PJ Jalan 222 couple of years back. but i changed to drop in because lazy to maintain the filter. K&N filter needs to re-oil from time to time.
LCP u can use Works engineering. im using it too
