hi guys...im new right here.myself got a superbly basic viva 660...just for a regular daily usage...go to class etc...just wanna ask u guys, since my car is superbly basic and hv no radio, may anyone advise me on how much would it cost to install d audio system in the car?just need to budget first la...student dun hv money 2 many&2 often..only d basic audio system but acceptionally nice sound...hope u guys can help me...tqvm  happy.gif

Even ur car didn have radio, but it already came with radio wiring/harness behind that dash and also speaker socket inside the door. I had install to my fren car b4, thought need to do wiring, but the wiring is there.

If u just want a simple basic audio, go find second hand viva original radio, and viva/myvi ori 6inch door speaker. Everything just PnP basis, just plug in ori socket, unless u buy aftermarket radio/spk then need to cut ori wire harness....

Hi all master and shifu here,
Just got my viva 850 solid white 2 days ago.
A very nice and compact car to drive in the city.
I have a question about the audio sound system of viva. The stock CD player have  treble and bass +5 , but I feel like no bass at all. Is it changing the stock speakers will improve or I need to change the CD player as well?
Thanks
*
Bro, dats the reason y i change all spk n HU same day i have the car. Open ur door trim, and try press ur spk center cone, then u will understand why there is no bass sound....

For cheaper solution use myvi original speaker, then u can use ori HU. But if u plan tu use aftermarket branded coxial/comp spk, u'll need to change HU cos ori HU cant support anymore, screen will blinking since the spk pullout so much power from radio.....

Me only use entry level range to replace the stock parts, HU JVC KD-R436, Front door 6.5inch comp JVC CS-VS607, Rear door 6.5inch coxial JVC CS-V627, all costs me less rm800.....

bro jastan,

Dat sound maybe came from ur rack end (its part of stering rack component). It would not coming from tie rod end, since normally worned tie rod end make ur car swing in high speed and u will feel a free play on steering. But it just my guess oni, since dis rarely happen to perodua/daihatsu car, but normal for proton/mitu....

2nd, when u said driving 30/40km/h. car will vibrate, is it the whole car body vibrate/shaking or only just ur steering?
If car body vibrate/shaking while accelerating, dat means your driveshaft/cv joint kong edi...
If only vibrate at steering, theres few thing need to check but I will suggest start from cheapest. Go for on-wheel tyre balancing 1st.....

I dun think its common for front and rear.. It must be separate.. Try ask someone to play with the switch and u try to hear any motor sound from nearby the cleaning water tank.. If no sound means stuck or kaput lah.. If have sound then maybe air lock or ur line stuck up.. Have a try 1st.. smile.gif
*
Only perodua kancil use separate tank (front n rear tank), Kelisa, kenari, viva etc2 use 2pump motor at same tank....Check ur pump motor 1st (i think need to remove front bumper cause viva windshield tank located behind driver side fog lamp).

Thats means ur pump is working...  rclxms.gif Usually ur pump is submerged so its like impossible to not have suction.. Try check the outlet at ur rear spoiler and try to clear the hole with small pin.. If the hole is clear but still no spray.. Then its obviously ur line choked..  icon_rolleyes.gif
So u can follow as per wut paperclip said..  thumbup.gif See the water flow or not.. Dun spill water inside ur car..  shakehead.gif Hahahahaha...

skylinestar - very easy to remove n install back. B4 remove the plastic pillar, remove door rubber first...Pull off dat pillar start from top, only 2clip behind there...

panda123456 - Drove below 90km/h and do not accelerate dramatically...

mazai5100 - I though all viva meter is same (auto or manual)....Different is on manual viva, perodua didnt connect gear position wiring....correct me if im wrong....

anything i should prepare ? like oil or whatever..
or i just press the accelerator and speed ?
thanks biggrin.gif

as far as i read, hard break in will void the warranty. is it ?

Refer to link above, theres enough information to hard break in on ur own, and no one will know u do hard break in unless u told them....So dun worry about warranty...

Speeding is not how u do 'hard break in' ur engine......Basically its accelerate the deaccelerate, in different throttle/engine revv position.....If its sound complicated to you, then just normal break in would be enough....

Hi...my viva tyre is soon to finish grip... thinking to stay on 14 inch or 15 inch.  Any recommendations heere?
*
If u go for 15inch rims, surely u need to lowering ur car, if not ur car will look really ugly...Big rims, thin tyres but stock car height = u imagine.....And less choice of tyre model (as I know 165/50/r15 oni falken azenis)

If 14inch rims, u can use stock suspension, lot of tyre available, from roadstone, silverstone powerblitz, falken ziex, continental cc5, maxxis, ventus v8rs, kumho ecsta SPT, yokohama advan neova ad07/08 etc2......

Stock viva rims I change a week after get the car....
Change to myvi SE rims, then japan used rims... Now using back myvi se rims because myvi rims have better offset then the japan rims....

Babyyi. Just so u know, last time I put in 15inch I cannot carry more that 2 person if not it will scratch the rear fender(standard suspension). So better stick with 14 if not u need change hard shock absorber and hard spring together with buffer.
*
Then if not drive careful, front abs mount sure will crack...The spotweld will broke, happen so many time, im still looking for the pics in viva community forum.... hehehehhe

Hi guys, I'm gonna get my Viva next week, basic model. Wanna ask for speaker, hu and alarm, should I get perodua's or after market? I wanted to get EX model was told perodua has stopped production for that model. Now I'm stuck with kosong Viva. Do suggest eh eh eh thanks guys!
*
1st thing viva basic got central lock or not? If dont have go find original (new or used from halfcut). Central lock actuator never use aftermarket, easily broke....
For alarm u better check car wiring 1st, if all the alarm loom is there then buy viva ori alarm n plugin the socket...If no wiring, just buy aftermarket one...

For audio if u are music lover then go buy aftermarket branded HU n speaker. Ori viva Hu/spk will disappoint u for sure....

Dear Sifus,
Just asking....Any idea if servicing air cond makes my car more powerful?my car can hardly reach 400 km on city roads before service air cond...after servicing, I can feel more power on my engine and fuel saving....I can reach 440km on city road (just before the fuel indicator blinks)
*
If you done the right aircond servicing, means ur air conditioning system became more effective, cabin temp cooling faster = means ur air cond compressor work less = engine load less = better FC

So the answer is yes....
