I think most normal players don't really care about the gold trophies like us hardcore racers or they don't play GT Academy :].

A bit out of topic but......I also play Diablo 3 with a max level Barbarian .....

I'm not hardcore in GT5 or GT Academy but I can score all Gold trophies for it. Yeah, some of it need a few tries before getting that Gold but it's not as hard as to throw your controller away. Hahaha! Maybe most of them are casual racers where all they care is to join in a race and it doesn't matter to them if they get Gold, Silver, or even Bronze.

Max Payne 3 ok la.... nice shooting game... Bullet Time is my fav...
But no matter what, GT5 still no1 for me la....

It's not about being hardcore but a sense of satisfaction when you get gold. If I'm a newbiew, I don't think I'll joint and race in the Nissan Academy coz it's boring like driving school. If it's the gold that matters most like some of us here (including myself) then different. Now I'm planning to beat other drivers and being more than 18k drivers beating you it's not ok.

Just my opinion.

imo, hardcore is not gold all test. it's about being top 250 is what i call hardcore

yeah, gold is satisfaction...but aiming to be in top 250 is what is hardcore is all about. so hard getting there.

imo, for newbie, GT academy is good for them. it's like a lesson for them to own in GT5. really good, in fact my driving a lot smoother now compared to before GT academy.

yo guys, who can help me by race with me this Friday night at Suzuka as my final practice?

If want to be top 250 i guess have to grind it hours upon hours to get there. Not sure if got that kind of time to spend. Maybe should aim to be there. I agree that driving that academy helps to improve our driving skills. I normally go to practice mode when I've not been on the wheels for more than 1 week and can see how rusty are my driving skills. I just wonder how many hours do the F1 drivers spend on their simulator between races mind blowing.

what exactly is your stock setup? I did 1'59.0 with more time to gain (478hp, default aero, suspension, lsd and brake but i have to change final gear coz otherwise 316km/h is simply too long for suzuka) I also can't get 481hp like you Friday let's race again, see if i can get 1:58 then

Ranking is all relative..when new rounds are out, i normally do ~2 hours to complete the 2 rounds, then next day another hour, then next day another hour. After that i dont play at all unless someone from my friends list beat my time massively. You don't have to grind at all, just watch replay of the top guys and see how they do it. Follow their ghost can see the fast line already.
