Well, in my humble opinion, I think the ultimate good news is that there are still a lot of units available even after the dividend payout biggrin.gif

Currently Maybank doesn't allow anyone to register their ASM, ASW2020 or ASD as all these funds are fully subscribed. Only new registration for AS1M and ASB is possible for the time being. Perhaps this is the reason why CIMB Bank rejected the registration of your ASM account.

Even Amanah Saham Didik still not yet full.
That is not true. ASD has been fully subscribed for a long time already.

Not sure, last week I went with a bumi, he went to top up and it successful.
Based on the report 2012, it only 4.229 billion out of 5.01 billions.
On last month, ASNB customer services do reply me an email, it not stated ASD is fully subscribed except other funds.
People noticed a few months ago that the fund size for a few funds (ASD, ASW2020, ASM and even AS1M) all increased by several hundred millions of Ringgit. But many claim they did not actually increase the said funds size. Those are the dividends payout. Your friend probably got lucky that someone made a withdrawal from ASD, which is why he managed to deposit more money into his ASD account.

Anyway, i'll drop by a ASNB office later if i got time to see if i can open a ASD account biggrin.gif

It is a public holiday in the Federal Territories this Friday. But would it still be possible to carry out ASNB transactions at any of the agent banks that open even on a public holiday such as Maybank KLCC ?

Question now is it will link to PNB right? Since PNB is in KL, it's close (Public Holiday) Logically speaking. I might be wrong  smile.gif

I don't think so. Because ASNB transactions can still be carried out at all other states as 1st February is a working day, assuming it doesn't fall on a weekend. So it is still business as usual outside of the Federal Territories and this is definitely not a problem smile.gif

If let's say the ASB account holder passed away, who's getting the money?
Can we like name anyone to get it?
*
I was informed that there needs to be a will. And the withdrawal cannot be made in cash. It will be transferred into the ASB account of the person(s) named in the will. I am not sure what will happen if the named person is not a Bumiputra and doesn't have an ASB account.

QUOTE(adolph @ May 26 2013, 06:17 PM)
For new investor within 10 years, bonus will be excluded.
*
This is absolutely not true and i am sure many others here who also have ASB can support what i just say.

QUOTE(adolph @ May 27 2013, 01:19 AM)
Oh really, $250 for 1.25 bonus entitlement based on 200,000 for first year. That's very nice calculation and no brainer,
*
You need to refer to his post again on how he came up with only RM250. Not the best calculation but you get the idea he was trying to convey...

QUOTE(adolph @ May 27 2013, 01:19 AM)
without proof still talking something which cannot be explained by calculation nor any formula available.
*
Actually he kinda already did.

QUOTE(adolph @ May 27 2013, 10:27 AM)
if you want to support your statement which your bonus is given in 1st year.
*
Can anyone please confirm this ? Can't check mine as i lost my first ASB passbook and the replacement passbook i have only has records as far as 2011. The only thing i am very sure is that no bonus will be given to investor of less than 10 years is definitely not true.

On a different note, please do not get hostile towards a fellow user here. We're here to gather and exchange information. So kindly refrain from using word like bullshit.
