What is the average temperature you get from your aquarium? I am looking at 29.9 celcius.

in malaysia weather, 29-31 is quite common. but the temperature is also affected by the size of the tank as well... the bigger ur tank the lower ur temperature will be...

My tank is a nano tank (always thought it was a 1ft).. Maybe I should include a fan. What fan do you use? I seen people using the computer's internal fan.
Hmm, guess more water accompanying the tank makes the temperature lower, but I am only using a nano tank, that's why the temperature is higher.

But will your fan be noisy My tank is in the room, I love the water coming down the filter's sound, but if the fan gives out noise, it will be hard for me to sleep

possible its aircon room? my 4ft also around 28c to 30c mostly. i find it hard to believe at 26c. can i know your filtration that you're using and your setup? i mean more water movement could also bring down the temp (more water being circulated?) please let me know if i'm mistaken....

deric, pls dun get us wrong. i think most of us find it really hard to believe you've actually got a 4ft @ 25c and using a fan only. can u take a full shot of your tank?

btw, i'm sure u tried to move the probe around and get reading from different location on the tank? maybe your fan is cooling one part of the aquarium only. having said that, i believe the temp probe should be accurate enough.

My house fan is also turned on 24/7 but my tanks are still at room temperature. No difference. Why don't you share your secret? I'm sure many people would love to have a tank chilled with only a fan. No need to buy expensive chillers.
