Change the idle air-fuel mixture setting 1st. B. If still not satisfied, change the needle position. C. If none of the needle position is good, change the jettings. A. Idle air-fuel mixture settings 1. Air screw set at about 2.5 turns for stock airflow. Modified exhaust + air filterless can use 2 turns. 2. Idle rpm increase a little more than normal. B. Needle setting 1. There are 3 ticks on the needle jet. 2. The lowest tick will give us good FC, as it limits more petrol to flow from mainjet @ half throttle 3. The highest tick will give us bad FC, as it let more petrol flows from mainjet @ half throttle. However, highest tick does not mean best acceleration. If too much petrol flows into the venturi, the mixture will become too rich. This will decrease the power at high rpm. So, try different needle clip position and feel which one has the best results. C. Jet size setting 1. Change mainjet to #107.5 (stock #105) 2. Change pilotjet to #22.5 (stock #20). If there is no performance increase, then stick back to #20. 3. Change mainjet to #110 + pilotjet #22.5. <-- this should be a good pair. Anything more than #110 mainjet will make the engine feels heavy, bcoz the mixture becomes too rich. Disc Brake Tuning Meteorology » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « The theory covers the relationship between the total areas of the brake pots (Note, its area not count), brake pads, masterpump, the rigidity of the brake hose and the property of the brake pads. The point of improvement is to look for the limit of the system and upgrade it. 1. Single pot is less prone to uneven brake force compared to multiple pots when in case one of the pot jams. 2. Changing the brake rotor is a start. But if you do not see improvements, that means rotor is not the limitation, and you need to change other things to do a stopee (Nose brake). 3. Change brake hose to steel braided, so it is less likely to expand and eat up the brake budget. Try this, wrap ur hands around standard brake hose, and press the brake you will feel it expand. Anymore you press also won't increase braking performance. 4. Change to DOT5 brake oil (normal 1 can, but easily overheat. I go hill run for >1 hr, DOT5 is mandatory) 5. Change brake pads, I use Ferodo imported by Racing Boy. Ask for original ones, one set front about RM30~40. You can see more copper strands on the pads. Other good pads use metal strands so u can see silverly metal strands. 6. Must stiffen front fork absorber, and add a stabilizer bar. Use 15W-20 fork oil, make it about 25% stiffer than stock. 20W-50 fork oil is too stiff bcoz the oil is too not lean enuf, the bound and rebound SUX, I feel like riding on a horse. The traction sux too, because front tyre can hardly grip on the road when going through uneven road (esp penang road). 7. Casual Junior Member 360 posts Joined: Nov 2009 From: Penang	just now i taruh setting based on my feeling... dunno can move or not.. my idle rpm too high.. just now i set2.. right screw for idle.. left screw shud be the fuel punya.. habis d la... i dunno my bike will spoil or not.. zzz.. at 1st i tot wan to adjust idle screw.. i remember it was left one.. then i usik2.. idle din naik turun also.. then i usik the right one.. idle naik turun.. zz.. basically i terkacau my settings d.. then i pusing my left screw all the way clockwise.. until engine mati.. then i pusing around 2 rounds anti clockwise.. engine alive.. then i din kacau idle d.. my rpm now around 1.2k i think.. when i did my settings earlier.. i adjust the air fuel around 1 and a half turn.. i can see my bike din vibrate.. so smooth like engine is not shaking..my meter there no vibration.. side mirror reduce.. very quiet.. then i make it around 2 turns.. it vibrate d.. but not much... I'll be following this to adjust tomorrow. QUOTE To tune carb: 1. Adjust idle screw (head outside one) clockwise until RPM like 2500-3000. Engine must warm up already. 2. Adjust air-fuel screw (head terbenam inside one) clockwise until tutup habis. Bike will want to mati engine... if mati, nevermind. 3. Open air-fuel screw counter clockwise for 1 round. If engine mati just now, start again. 4. Let engine run with this setting for 5-10 seconds, or until the RPM steady. Don't kacau throttle. 5. Turn the air-fuel screw counter clockwise by 1/4 of a turn, and wait until RPM steady. Don't kacau throttle. 6. Repeat this until you turn the air-fuel screw and the RPM don't change, then close back the air-fuel screw clockwise by 1/8 of a turn. If not, it will be too lean and then the off-idle will suck. 7. Last step, go back to the idle screw, turn counter clockwise, until RPM turun to 1.3~1.5k. Play the throttle by tap it open-close a bit (about 1/8 throttle) fast fast, see the RPM can follow or not. If cannot, close the air-fuel screw clockwise bit by bit (again, bit by bit, very sensitive one) repeat this until you syiok with the play throttle feeling. If good setting, morning will harder to start if use no choke. But, LC got smart CDI that can help warm up engine one, so this may not be the case. Good luck, and remember to share experience here. A few hints, if you experience with you bike. In my case, I can hear exhaust sound different when adjusting the air-fuel screw 'bit by bit'. It is really sensitive. need to ride my bike to new taman where no ppl is around.. then i can only rev my bike.. if not i keep rev-ing in my house.. give neighbor warning me.. Casual Junior Member 360 posts Joined: Nov 2009 From: Penang	just now go adjust again.. now my rpm on 1.25k like that..air-fuel 2 rounds anti-clockwise.. now i can hear my valve moving sound.. is that a good thing or bad..? or normal..? then i rev during idle time.. slow2 rev until hit 9k.. from 1st 2-5k a bit slow.. cause i slow2 pusing.. then i pusing summor a bit like that.. straight fly go up 9k.. then i let go.. no pom pom sound.. like pom pom pom.. it is like straight tarik poowwwwwwnnnnnnnnnnn.... then pom pom pom pom.. i think i wan gila d.. dunno if this setting is correct or not.. @.@
