for autobed leveling which one is better? servo or proximity sensor? i already know how to setup servo but for the sensor i didnt understand in the thomas video on youtube, positive and negative from the sensor connect with positive(RED) and negative(BLACK) from the power supply directly or on the ramps terminal block?
and the signal wire from the sensor will connect into the z end stop signal pin? so there will only be 1 wire connect to the z endstop which is the signal from the sensor. am i right or wrong here |

print it and is this ok? if i push my caliper with little pressure the cube measurement is around 4.9mm and then when i let go the caliper and let it without any pressure the cube measurement is 5mm. This is on each axis
Do i need to adjust my setting again and when i measure the cube with pressure or without pressure with the caliper it will fix on 5mm. |

QUOTE(eehtsitna @ Mar 26 2015, 10:17 AM) Guys! Maybe you can try freecad, it can edit stl files that you downloaded from webI am exploring the software side of 3D printing. Trying to learn how to draw my own 3D object. Is there any good program which you would recommend for a beginner like me? Tried using Sketchup but all the measurement does not seems to add up once i export the file out as *.obj. |

QUOTE(KLKS @ Apr 4 2015, 09:37 PM) From memory, I didnt use the ICSP, just used the usb, my buddy's melzi from china had the rrp or something firmware and we use repetier firmware. The steps i did to flash is Thanks for the step, do your friend melzi come with the printer or he buy the melzi board only?1. Download the repetier firmware (http://www.repetier.com/firmware/v091/index.html) 2. Download the arduino IDE 3. Download the sanguino board information for arduino from https://code.google.com/p/sanguino/downloads/list 4. Load the repetier firmware in Arduino, do the configuration.h changes, select the sanguino board (since melzi uses the atmega 1284p chip) 5. Upload firmware 6. Make sure everything works using repetier host 7. Copy eeprom settings from an existing melzi thats running repetier host to the newly flashed board read more at http://reprap.org/wiki/Melzi I dont use marlin so cant help u there |

QUOTE(KLKS @ Apr 4 2015, 10:21 PM) i read somewhere that melzi you bought from aliexpress just as single board we can upload firmware into it and melzi that come with the printer kit most of them we can't upload firmware into it, because developer did something to the board already |

QUOTE(KLKS @ Apr 5 2015, 04:06 PM) I've never tried to flash one that came with the printer. It may be possible they set the AVR fuse to disable re-programming, but i didn't see that as a fuse option for the atmeta1284p. Maybe try flashing via the isp headers? Thanks, i dont know what the site says LOL http://www.ladyada.net/learn/avr/fuses.html |

guys, do 200C decent temperature range for PLA cause before this i can print nicely without any problem to extrude the filament with 185C, but today new filament new color 185C seem not enough for the new filament to extrude without my motor skipped steps.
Are filament color will effect the temperature range? |
