Hi, I need help.
I'm having problem making payment with my PB debit card.
Element14 CS called to say my the payment did not go through.
I called the bank and was told to try making payment again which I did.
Still no go.

What did I do wrong?
I typed in the card number including the 3 digit code.

besides element 14, anywhere else i can get this Pi?
thanks

I ordered my Pi at Element 14 even though it says out of stock.
Delivery is in three weeks.

My other items purchased at the same time arrived today but GDEX delivery guy thought no one was home and left. sad.gif

Anybody have problem paying Element14 purchases with Public Bank Debit cards?

If you really want the GUI you could VNC over LAN/Internet or VNC through SSH over internet for added security.

BTW, you can multiboot Raspberry Pi from one SD card using Berryboot.

edit * to add, I once tried to measure the voltage across the USB port's 5v pins. Turns out everytime i measure it, it will reset the Pi... I think I may have shorted it out ...
*
Check your power adapter's output voltage (as well as when plugged into the Pi).
It's probably borderline case.

I measured the usb port's voltage because i wanted to know which is positive and negative. without butchering cables.

I'd say it's easier (and safer) checking the pin-outs on the web.

Bought mine from Element 14 Oct 31.
Payment hiccup with Public Bank debit card, finally paid through Maybank Nov 1.
Got call telling me Pi would be only available in three weeks.
I got the rest of my order within two days.
Now just waiting for my Pi. smile.gif

Ordered HDMI-to-DVI and micro USB cable from ebay last week.

How much that dat hdmi2dvi cost you ? Better deal from the one in RS or local shops ? Because i may need 1 for  hooking up the pi to my cheapass lcd monitor.
*
Not the cheapest but looks to be quite robust with ferrite bead.

Ebay HDMI-to-DVI cable

[Edit]
uh-oh. I just noticed the product description is wrong. Better check first before buying.

Actually i ordered my Pi on 3rd Nov...previously the status showed Back order. And today i found out the status was changed to Processing, so i assume that they already got the stock and ready to ship for me.

Hopefully im able to get it by next week, its a long holiday for me next week that i can play with this new toy  rclxms.gif

Ordered mine Oct 31 and was told they will ship in about three weeks. That's next week.
Keeping my fingers crossed.
Also hoping my cables from eBay will arrive in time. smile.gif

I hope the Gdex delivery man doesn't make another of his silent deliveries.
A few times now he comes by, thinks there is no one home and quietly zooms off.
Not a sound from him, not a phone call...

When did you purchased the cable from eBay?
Recently i found that item purchased from HK or China takes very long to arrive in JB. Almost a month.
Previously was only about 2-3 weeks.
*
I ordered the HDMI/DVI cable on Nov 4, the micro USB cable a few days later.
Previously it took under a week to get my orders from HK/China.
Last one took 3 weeks. It spent most of that 3 weeks at customs and Pos Malaysia (deduced from the various date stamps)
