Really don't like those flex cables.
They break too easily.

custom ribbon cable very expensive doh.gif

You only need the adapter ends,
Cables can buy from electronic shops.
Any one here can tell how much a meter cost?

If you're daring enough, just snip the ends off the supplied flex cable and with some very careful soldering glue and solder to a pcb with 2x8 header pins.
Or end up with a blob of melted plastic. whistling.gif

haha,i went jalan pasar to customise two rasp pi gpio cable another day, cost me more than 15 bucks. each header of the ribbon cable is 2.50,cable per meter is 3 bucks..
well,u have to strip off the flex cable into individual strands to solder like that smile.gif

Glue cut end of flex cable (supplied with camera module) to PCB, scrape only the top off, and solder fine wires to pin headers (unless you want to etch PCB)?
Then extend with ribbon cable.

Ordered 2 camera modules on Friday 26/7, arrived on Monday 29/7.

Today received a call from element14 asking whether I was a business user, I said no I'm more of a gadget collector. He said OK and hang up. I wonder what was that all about...
