You can set the desired CPI to both LED profile. So the LED will indicate you which CPI you are currently using.

QUOTE(dannykhoo17 @ Jun 7 2013, 06:47 PM) Ok.. This mouse when move won't smooth why ? When I play fps the cursor won't go a straight line but a little bit shaky shaky. Mouse correction is off that's why it can't move in a perfect straight lineBut if you say shaky, better send it back for RMA Or try update then only see if it fix the problem No one had jitter issue so far |

SteelSeries Apex RAW Review
What’s in the box? ![]() • SteelSeries Apex RAW Keyboard • Quick Start Guide • SteelSeries Sticker • 2x Rubber Feet Summary of all the features Instead of the regular numbers I’m just going to list out the specialties of this keyboard compared to normal traditional keyboard • Two layers on the fly switch • Keyboard fully programmable with 5 keys extra on the left side and 12 keys above the F keys. • 7 levels light intensity control • 1000Hz/1ms Polling Rate • 8 Shortcut keys for specific function. • 2 extra directional buttons • A seriously oversized spacebar The Keyboard ![]() I’m going to start off this review by saying this is a membrane keyboard. Yes membrane keyboard, that explained the cheaper price tag on this keyboard. The keyboard has a huge support for macro keys. All the keys on the keyboard are fully programmable via the SteelSeries Engine (except for the L1 and L2 button on the top left. Those buttons are fixed to change your keyboard layer). For a membrane keyboard, the Apex RAW does give a slightly better tactile feeling compared to other membrane keyboards out there. This keyboard offers 7 levels of light intensity control. Which I find it useful for those who love gaming in the dark but doesn’t want eye strain when looking on the keyboard. You can customize how bright your keyboard can be. Now SteelSeries claimed that this keyboard offers up to 20 simultaneous key press with their ‘’superior anti ghosting’’ ability. Well SteelSeries might have exaggerated this point and who have 20 fingers? This keyboard support anti ghosting up to 6 keys in USB mode. The keyboard just MIGHT just offer more anti ghosting capability when plugged into a PS/2 connection. They offer 2 extra rubber feet. Those are not for replacement; those 2 feet are slightly higher than the current feet fitted on the bottom of the keyboard. For those who prefer a higher angled keyboard might find this useful. The right side windows key is replaced with SteelSeries Key. This is to activate the SteelSeries function from F5 all the way to F12. The so called ‘W’ button that is optimized for better tactile feedback I would have to say that the difference is negligible. The keyboard is quite heavy and close to the mechanical switch 6Gv2. Also the keyboard features a big un-detachable wrist rest. Software Department Apex RAW utilizes SteelSeries Engine in customization; this is where all those macro came into play. ![]() The 1st tab mainly handles all the programming function. Programming is easy with the SteelSeries Engine. There are 4 options available for the programmable keys. • Keypress Macro • Launch Application • Text Macro • Disable Key At Keypress macro function, you are able to record your keyboard movement with or without delay. The text macro however, is just a function to write text, nothing more. Basically the Launch Application and Disable Key function is to well, Launch Application or Disable that specific key. ![]() The 2nd tab is just to change the illumination intensity, polling rate, and the keyboard layout. Polling rate is available to change from 125->250->500->1000. 3rd tab is where all the profile is saved and the 4th tab is statistics where keyboard presses are recorded. Real World Usability I’m going to comment this section on how I personally feel about the keyboard and also how I use it. First of all I wanted to say that most macro buttons on the top are quite hard to reach and personally I don’t use them. The oversized spacebar is there for ergonomic reasons. They don’t want to strain your thumb too much to reach the spacebar but personally I don’t really feel much difference. I play a lot of DotA and also DotA 2, the left side macro button I used it for quick chat settings like mid ms, top ms and bot ms. The extra 2 arrows keys however are completely useless. I don’t even know who would want to use them. They function as turn left and turn right in CS 1.6. I will have to add on this important point, when I first started using this keyboard I have difficulty typing the correct word. However the learning curve isn’t steep, I’m able to use this keyboard normally after a day of usage. Conclusion The keyboard retails for RM219. The price is fair for a keyboard with this much of macro function and not to mention illuminated keys. The Pros • Have a lot of macro keys • Illuminated Keys • Comfortable to type • Solid feel The Cons • Extra 2 directional buttons are useless • Heavy for a membrane keyboard This post has been edited by H3LLKEEPER: Jun 8 2013, 12:35 PM |

QUOTE(ZoidbergFry @ Jun 14 2013, 02:55 PM) i see thanks, any estimation regarding the price, and is it ergonomic for use? Sensei RAW cost around RM280im gona use it for 2-5 hours at a time while KANA priced at RM199. Both of them are ambidextrous mice, it wont be as ergonomic as the deathadder But i liked the Sensei RAW, i used them 7-10 hours during weekend for gaming. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |
