the picture is very sharp indeed.noise level is very much better than N8.omg!!

well that's the reason i ditched my panasonic gf2 and opted to use camera phone instead where i will bring wherever i go and can snap anytime i want.

whenever i buy big camera(m43 and DSLR), it's ended up in my drawer after awhile because it's too big and heavy to carry around.

to be honest, what sold me the most about the phone is sound quality during video recording. it is way better than most m43 and dslr.

i used to own sony nex , the sound quality is very bad, distorted whenever there's bassy sound.

panasonic gf2 is much better than sony nex, can change mic levels etc and no distortion but the sound quality still cannot match the one in pureview.

The phone can also touch screen to focus ma. Aku cuba tadi kat Lowyat.
*
it is possible to select focus mode in creative mode but i have no idea how to activate it, sometimes there's pop up to select when i accidentally touching something or when i practice to do zoom gesture.

i haven't read the manual so i cannot help on how to activate the pop up

100% crop

if you're plan to zoom a subject i think the best practice is take the photo in full resolution and crop the subject later on. i've tried to zoom in pureview mode but it's not as sharp as cropped subject above. or maybe my hand is not steady enough.

isn't it's same old focus as N8?

1. Close Up (Macro) - AF mode
2. Anything else (Hyper) - DOF mode

so when close up only need those AF mode other the lens just extented to DOF and everything in focus?

hmm.gif
*
there are at least 4 focus modes to choose from. i never use n8, so i don't know.

call nokia store first and if available ask them to reserve for you because for the first batch the stock is very limited.

Wow.  shocking.gif cancel camera budget. 808 as camera.
*
i use sport scene mode and just click on the camera button so it takes continuous shots. great idea to cancel camera budget because i did the same thing, sold my panasonic gf2 for this camera cum phone. at least i can bring this camera everywhere i go unlike gf2 where i keep it in my drawer most of the time

thanks for the tip. If you keep your finger on the shutter button it takes continuous shots? What the speed like?
*
the speed is not great, not sure exactly how many frames per second.

Congrats, you missed music and light festival to test the camera though. Is there any accessories for pureview yet in nokia store?

sigh so far sad.gif ..

hows the phone ?

i find it the OS symbian not so good lolz

but the camera damn cun

dunno wanna buy this phone or not cause the OS i don't like

kinda like lumia 900 much better ..

Sigh i want the tripod attach ..
*
if OS is your main concern then better don't buy it.
to be honest if i don't own another proper OS phone (at least for me), galaxy nexus, i won't buy this phone.

i bought this phone as substitute to my camera and also as a second phone.
