At above RM2000 it is placing it in flagship territory and I think it's gonna get beaten really bad by the SGSIII and iPhone4S. Yea the camera is way ahead of the competition but I don't think it actually leads in any other way. Competition will be tough unless you are talking about someone who places great importance on image quality.
Most people interested in photography will have a proper camera so it doesn't really have a market that way too. Only way is to sell cheap and market it's huge camera.

But most people no longer have faith in Symbian. So...fail phone?

Most people are looking at the spec sheet. The only part that this phone shines is the camera. Nowadays I hear everybody say they want a Blackberry or Android phone, while the richer ones own iPhones. Seems like nobody is proud of using Symbian or even thinks about getting a new Symbian. Symbian is now linked to the slow slow phones of yore. Maybe they never tried the new ones but that's the common view about Symbian. Before 808 also I have given up on Symbian considering N8 is the only one with autofocus.

Maybe 808 will attract some people but the fact that Nokia has actually officially announced that this is a "burning platform" makes me very very doubtful that this phone will be a hit. I think most people will choose an Android device or a WP7 Pureview. At least the other OSes don't have a set expiry date.

Proper camera means something that has PASM modes. Comparing a phone with camera of coz can't be compared directly based on the number of features. At RM2000 and above there are many phones that can surf the web better, enjoy full flash, play more games, and have ACCEPTABLE camera quality. Nowhere near even the N8 but still ACCEPTABLE for most people who only take photos to upload to Facebook (me included)

haha it seems higher camera MP no longer marketable now in the long run unlike the old days just look at all smartphones now stagnant in 8MP n yet still got so many people buy them all 4 other purposes

WP7 is smooth and all but my 1st impression is...too simple. On the other hand, N9's simplicity is very interesting.

I don't know I just don't like Lumia 800 WP7's metroUI flatness maybe. It just doesn't excite me like an N9 does.

indeed I think I do. Must be because of using Symbian too long. 

oh it can be arranged right? I didn't have much time with both phones as I just played with them at the shop unlike you nokia rangers. I spend much of my time arranging my apps in my X6 into the appropriate folder every time I flash it with a CFW.

adapting to a new UI in a few minutes is near impossible I think. I only managed to understand N9 UI because I read about it a lot as I thought it was going to be my new phone, but when Nokia announced that MeeGo is not supported anymore, I lost interest in it. Although it is really a good phone. 

now it's only 1699 for 64GB right?

further more, IMHO Beats audio is some branded overprice product just to showoff only. 

maybe i should wait for window pureview version out meanwhile i waiting for upgrade my other camala... damn sien to see the colour production of  D70s  XDDD

duno yet... if sensor size is not big like or worst performance then i will get 808 later...now D800 first priority. 

but ya 800 is expensive haha for hobbist like me it is not worth in term of money...
my cousin even advise me get D300s or D700 in term of value...

true also he said like D700 is around 6k something... you got 3-4k extra to do other investment

haha i m still a high mp camera freak when it comes 2 hunting new phone...thats y i still chose N8 instead of other andriod devices restricted with 8mp camera only...btw sony xperia S is damm awesome but i got no money 2 splash 1.9k 4 this monster android

as a overall smartphone thought Xperia S will win over Nokia N8 without breaking a sweat.
