I think i will sell my gf2 and buy this phone instead. My gf2 rarely get out of my drawer and I'm too lazy to carry it around. It's time for me to go back to basic.

What sold me over is high quality audio without distortion when recording live music. I love recording video in concert.

Why 4.7? Why not 5.3? Why 5.3? Why not 4? Why 4? Why not 4.3? It never ends and never satisfy every users.

Windows Phone is basically very much like iOS.
Both rely on media transfer software to transfer supported files. (you cannot transfer any file you like)
It will also handle the conversion for you. If you ever buy an MP3 player or iPod before which you only can use a software like iTunes to transfer specific files, you'll know what I mean. I don't know about you or others, but this is so not smartphone to me.

No files transfer via bluetooth (not even photo or videos which you record)

No access mass-storage; Everything must go through the media transfer software (e.g. iTunes, Zune).

Basically, everything is controlled and restricted; Mostly, you are relying on apps available.

For those who have been using true smartphone, or Symbian users, will feel many drawback of Windows Phone OS when they switch, it's like they're using a downgraded phone, being controlled/restricted and becomes inconvenient.

BUT if you're a simple user who doesn't bother about all those, only want a fast phone (read phone), and have many games and apps. Then you have no issue.

Generally, for PureView 808, it's like the next replacement for Nokia N8, and all this while Nokia High End Camera phone is a smartphone running Symbian which has flexibility and customization; You can transfer files and manage it easily; You can send the high quality photos to your friends easily over bluetooth (imagine Windnows Phone; Can I send to your email instead?). In short, the restrictions and limitations causes many inconveniences and frustrations; moreover to implement on Windows Phone OS, they will need time for it, which is why they have mentioned it may come in future.
For now, some people may "want" the Windows Phone OS, but how many actually used and understand the benefit? And how many actually prefers Windows Phone OS compared to Symbian?
The potential owners I would say are mostly Nokia N8.

For many "usual" Nokia smartphone user or other true smartphone user, they will at least face problems like below:

NOTE: That's just "some" of the list, there's more. But some of the list mentioned above, it's the OS limitations/restrictions, only MS can change.

For those that really compare, then you should take MeeGo OS into comparison; It an even better choice than the rest.

my only hope for the 808 is with its 1.4 ghz proc, its gonna make the symbian smooth and shine, this is the fastest symbian device yet.

Well don't intent to sound harsh, but I think 808 is on another league though

In overall user experience, One X might offer the best package as a standalone device, but in terms of imaging quality, I think 808 still one the lead (nope, i'm not a Nokia fan that blindly worshiping my favourite brand  )

Wat to worry? just rub using cloth, 808 comes with gorilla camera lens. 

haiya... use t-shirt that you wear to rub mah.. even N8 also i use t-shirt to rub, the picture come out still look nice.  A good camera is a good camera, it doesn't need you to worry so much like DSLR do.

wish this phone got 1gb ram, its gonna be pefect...512 seems like a little to hmm..perhaph its because they want to save on pruduction cost and give more battery life...

Actually, WP main issue is the restrictions and limitations only. If they make it open like how they used to be (e.g. Windows Mobile), then many problems will be resolved. Just don't understand what MS doing.



So, why not reach out and please more users/customers, than have people who hate and doesn't like it. A product should try to suit more customers. Honestly, have no idea or logic why MS have to implement those other than follow blindly what Apple did; as with many company, the management decisions may just be looking at the surface or statistics, but then, what about the suggestions and request send in? Is that really being acknowledged? Or it's just for user to feel good that they have a place to write in their suggestion?
Really no idea, it's been so long and yet still no action taken, and this is actually not good for Nokia. They're making Nokia loosing its customers.

Xonar D2X is totally a different thing from Dolby Headphone... Dolby Headphone IMHO can be compared to something like Beats Audio on HTC devices. Something like that 

if you use speakers also you can activate the Dolby Headphone right? Beats is more towards bass performance.
