I just received a credit card. But I wondered, if I didn't activate it, would I still be liable for the annual fee & government tax? Thank you.
*
if you applied for it, most likely it is already activated and you have to pay.
if not, then you should call in and cancel it or else you have to pay
doing nothing = auto accept = have to pay

dear users...

was trying to apply for Maybank 2 Cards but was given 2 forms... one is the normal credit card application form...but the 2nd form i need to fill in more details like more info such as my loan, debt etc. I don't feel comfortable to reveal so many details... is it a must? according to the bank agent, he told me that this is new Bank Negara requirement?

pls help. It doesn't make sense to me to reveal everything about my personal finance to the bank at all.
*
no idea what is the current process, but rather than give a 3rd party (agent) all this information, why don't you submit the application to MBB branch or MBB card centre in 1U?

say everything u swipe got 2xpoint..
i swipe my 1st time yesterday to activate it the bill is RM 19.00 but the receipt only show point earn this visit : 9 point? ( shouldnt it be 19?)
anyone can help?

thanks in advance.

Q: So how does the Clubcard Points programme work?
A: For every RM2 spent, you will earn yourself 1 Clubcard Point. However, you can also earn an additional 1 Clubcard point for every RM2 spent if you swipe both your Tesco Clubcard and your Tesco-RHB Credit Card together at any Tesco outlets.

Q: I am currently not holding a Tesco Clubcard. Is it compulsory for me to own one?
A: No, it is not compulsory. However, if you wish to take advantage of extra benefits, you are encouraged to register for a Tesco Clubcard along with your Tesco-RHB Credit Card application. If you already have a Tesco-RHB Credit Card, just visit any Tesco outlet to register for a Tesco Clubcard.

Q: If I don't have a Tesco Clubcard, how can I enjoy 2 Clubcard Points for every RM2 spent at Tesco outlets?
A: You will not be able to enjoy 2 Clubcard Points without a Tesco Clubcard. Only 1 Clubcard Point for every RM2 spent.

no meantion 2% rebate oo..
but the point wan i very blur..nvm will as the tesco ppl  nod.gif

did you ignore my post?

RM2 = 1 Club Card point

to get 2x points, it is expected that you use a normal Tesco Clubcard as well (so to get 2 points for every RM2)

It is written in their FAQ which i linked.

i understand what zenquix say, meaning i must bring my tesco club card and use my rhb card to swipe correct? yes i did it.. but the point is some how normal ( RM2 =1 point ) as show in the receipt .. that y i am blur

ronnie mention 2% rebate but the RHB guys ( sales) didnt mention this to me oo? so is not true i just ignore correct?
*
tesco receipt will only show your tesco clubcard pts. I believe you will only see your RHB Tesco Card points in the credit card statement. Add both together and you get 2x points

I don't have adequate time because I just got posted about a year ago. I did saved a few thousands but was used to pay for the other arrangements. And before I got the new work, my salary is only about 1.3k. So not much I can save from there. Btw, the purpose for the credit card is for the cash advance only. Will not use it at ALL for other expenses. That is 100% guarantee.

Anyway, Im open to suggestion on how to get extra cash as soon as possible. Please no along and borrowing from family is not an option, so does applying for another personal loan. I'm a bit desperate here so I guess a suggestion from you all can help me a lot. Thanks

it is never recommended to use a CC for cash advance. Think that is the message everyone is giving you.

does your upcoming expenses allow the usage of credit cards especially 0% installment plans?

I have no idea what your expenses are but what ever you are gonna use it for, do they accept the credit card as payment?

i.e. rather than you withdraw cash to pass to them, you swipe the credit card instead (like buying petrol). You get 20 days interest free and not pay high rates from Day 1.

If it is some large purchases, do they offer 0% installments scheme with the credit card, where the purchase is split to X months, and you only pay the installment amount on a monthly basis.

Cash advance is a bad idea and I hope you do not take on the debt considering you already have a debt equal to your annual income.

Wow good explaination there! Erm what do u mean by
Okay let's say on 10th Oct I bought something for RM 1000 n I don't have any outstanding balance from previous months. So on 3rd Nov the bill comes so I paid partial payment like RM 400. So I'm left with RM 600 which will be carried to 3rd Dec..so on 3rd Dec when the bill comes the interest will be charged upon my outstanding balance which is RM 600 right? The interest will be 1.0125 * 600 right?
*
outstanding balance (from the date of the transactions) + all new transactions will be charged interest.

basically the next statement interest will essentially be interest for past 2 months for (almost) all of your transactions.

Paying RM400 does not mean it clears the first RM400 transactions, but divided to reduce the balance of all of your transactions.
