Letter of employment coupled with your 2 months payslip should be fine. Especially if you are working in reputable MNC.

If it stated EPP 0% then it is 0%. I.e. Rm100 pver 10 months will be Rm10 each month.

However that being said, pls visit reputable stores. Because some shops selling electronics or handphones usually like to hike up the price like you mentioned by few % because they do not want to absorb the merchant fees. Bear in mind they are not allowed to do that.

OT: I think you can write to google and ask them the reason for removing and asking them to restore it back.

Happy New Year!

anyone have experienced requesting to have new replacement card 1-2 years before the card expiry date? i plan to move to Australia for few years and to retain 1-2 cards. since the expiry date is next year, plan to request for new card.

The bank may or may not approve of such. Check back your bank's T&C. I know Citi has a clause on it whereby if a person has moved elsewhere they are required to cancel their card under clause 46:
http://www.citibank.com.my/english/credit-...rCode=MYCCLNTNC
46. Your Departure from Malaysia
(1) If you are absent from Malaysia for more than one (1) month, you must settle the amount outstanding under your Card Account at least seven (7) days prior to your departure.

(2) If you leave Malaysia to take up residence elsewhere, you will settle the amount outstanding under your Card Account and call CitiPhone or by giving prior written notice to us for cancellation at least fourteen (14) days prior to your departure. The provision relating to termination above will subsequently apply and your Card(s) and all Supplementary Card(s) (if any) must be returned to us.

Because it is termed as Event of default under clause 24:
(1) We may suspend, withdraw or terminate the Card, Card Account and/or any of the services offered in connection with the use of the Card with prior notice, even if we may have waived our right on some previous occasion upon the occurrences of any or more of the following events (collectively, “Events of Default” and each an “Event of Default”):-
(vi) if you leave Malaysia to take up residence elsewhere;

According to custom department, only those renewed card but cancelled within 3 months and not use the new card is eligible not to pay GST.

Refer last statement. Seems the site doesn't allow me to copy and paste for whatever reason.

I have a mastercard which has NOT been used for 3 years and no GST has EVER been charged on it - until this year when suddenly a RM50 GST was imposed. So the question is for a card that has not been used during the entire year, is the card holder still liable for the GST?
*
It is puzzling why they did not charge you. If Custom Department does an audit to that FI, they will be hit hard.

Anyway, if you do not use yet you do not cancel; technically you are still required to pay the tax. The only caveat is you cancel the card within 3 months of the renewal as specified in the website.

The answer is no. Why do you think it will affect your credit rating?

Hi,

just want to ask , if it's possible to convert credit card debt into a loan without going to AKPK ?
*
Yes it is possible with consequences:
1) If the bank has installment plan eg. Citi Flexi Payment Program (FPP), then balance can be converted to installment plan with interest charged.
OR
2) If the bank does not have one, then the card will be "restructure" under collection terms; i.e. card being cancelled, and converted into term loan where CCRIS record will be tarnished as a tagging will be introduced in one's CCRIS report to denote the facility is a "restructured" account hence viewd negatively by most banks.

So if one can still afford to pay, then it is still best to go with Balance Transfer programs out there. I believe many BT programs offered nowadays have fixed installment plans for the balance converted.

I believe it all depends on how the bank reports their data to CCRIS. Some might show but some might not.
eg:
Statement date on 5th every month.
Reporting to BNM on 10th (example).
One pays on 7th.

So some bank reports to BNM to say the customer missed 1 payment since the payment was due on 5th.
But some bank since reporting is on 10th, and the customer paid on 7th; so by the 10th when they submit the report it is deemed as no missed payment.

So I would say it varies from bank to bank. wink.gif
