I guess it depends on whether it still feels comfortable, or if the damaged part is affecting your sitting position.

On the other hand, its kinda cool to show off as a war wound...just joking.

Thanks for the feedback Butthead! Guess I should be targeting the foil or super six as my next bike haha! Although I am still attracted to the Kuota Kharma simply because of the value for money aspect.

On another note, I might join the Sunway-PD ride tomorrow. Sound fun, just not sure I can get up in time smile.gif

ya, the pricing for kuota surprised me too...plus thats a quote from a reputable LBS, not some shady online retailer.

Still have heard lots about "ahem" goods... counterfeit frames from China, specially for big names like scott, specialized, pinarello. Hope this isn't one of those deals.

Just to clarify, I did not mean that they were selling counterfeit stuff. Just that the pricing is unbelievably low.

So bloody tempting.

In any case, given the specs involved, campy groupset + wheelset, would be a reasonable purchase based on that aspect alone.

Hey I like the captain america one! So loud haha!

Mr jgx. Was at the ft fun ride today. Those fixie kids were a little reckless ya? I enjoyed the fact that there were people from all walks of life, but was hoping everyone would ride responsibly....

I took my Mtb this time too...had a bit of a slip and fell on my knee due to being unable to unclip on time. Right in front of klcc too....

Fell down yesterday too...had a flat while cycling my roadie in sepang....again I lost concentration and did not unclip in time...two falls in one weekend....freaking careless...

Get one that looks good on your head....not much diff in terms of safety between the branded stuff other than circulation and comfort.

Sorry, but must be a bit vain here, cos I tried many many helmets, some that looked good on display but completely wrong when i put them on. Good luck shopping!

Terrible news....its so sad that cycling in Malaysia can be so risky. My condolences to his friends and family. Just another reminder that we all have to be careful whether we are on the bike or in the car.

Actually, my question is how did the accident occur? Was the driver trying to enter or exit the patrol station? On the phone perhaps? Was the late En. rafizi riding alone? Could anything have been done to prevent the accident?

Am using Bont A2's too...have oven fitted it twice now, but still a tad numb when really pushing myself. Actually, it felt a little better after the 2nd oven fit, the 2nd time, i asked the chaps at Pedalsport to push out the areas with hot spots.

One thing I have to say, the shoes are super stiff. Really feel the power transfer when I pedal...

ok, finally got bitten by the carbon bug...

Am looking for a new ride which will provide me decent comfort and hill climbing capabilities (ie:lightweight). I need it to be reasonable stiff but comfortable, would love to do long distance rides and at the very least help me catch up with guys when going uphill. Given that I am now around 77kg, I need all the help I can get wink.gif. not so much a sprinter, so I guess comfort would be more important that stiffness.

Right now its a toss up between a 2011 Scott CR1 elite, a 2012 Scott foil 20, or maybe a 2011 specialized roubaix. My budget would be around RM 8-10k.

Anyone have any thoughts on these guys?

Hi butthead,

thanks for the advice. yes scott somehow provides the best value overall, in terms of the cost of the fame, component mix and wheelsets. Am still quite happy with my Scott Speedster, just want something that will help mew catch up with the guys.

If my new bike helps to give me an added 2-3kmh advantage, I guess that will make me sufficiently happy haha

Will have to test ride all of them before I can make a final decision though.

Haha MattJ, I really need to test ride these bike to get a better feel..

Butthead, I think you are right, RM 15k will go a long way. Just that the CR1 represents damn good value IMHO. frame is not bad too...dont think the carbon used is any worse than other brands

I'd love to get the foil based on looks alone, but am worried my body cant take it. I guess I need to test it as well

One final note, any thoughts of the SRAM rival groupset versus ultegra?

Hi butthead,

Yes, I saw some LOOK bikes at KH too.. skinny supermodels haha...I need to read up on some reviews of those bikes, dont know much about them.

Would you be able to give me your impression of the SRAM rival groupset? Have had quite a few friends comment on the reliability and the feel..they seem to prefer shimano

Butthead,
how light do you reckon your new wheels will be once fully set up?
