Hi everyone,
I have just been wearing a TISSOT T014.430.16.037.00 PRC200 Automatic silver index arabic for 2 weeks almost everyday. I notice that the power reserve of my watch is only about 20 hrs or so after wearing it for more 8hrs a day for a few days. Can anyone advise me is this normal? I thought it should last 40hrs approx after wearing for 8hrs? Any advice appreciated. Cheers.

QUOTE(Catnip @ Nov 4 2012, 01:04 AM) How old is the watch? Bought from authorized dealer? It depends whether your arm and wrist movement is enough to wind the watch. First, try hand winding the watch. It takes 40 turns clockwise to fully wound an ETA 2836-2. Next, check if it can run for 40 hours without wearing it. It is barely 3 weeks old and purchased from an authorised seller with official 2 yrs warranty. Will wind it as suggested and see how it goes. By the way, what if it still lasts only 20hrs? Possible to get an exchange? Thanks.

QUOTE(patryn33 @ Nov 6 2012, 05:53 AM) When it's fully wind it should run for around 38 hours. If it didn't run more than 30 hrs then claim warranty. Don't think they let u return. Usually wearing it full day does not always mean fully charge. If you need to wind it daily is it a problem for you? Tried. It ran for slightly over 40 hrs on full charge. Hope that I didn't over wind it as I didn't know when should I stop other than counting the number rounds of winding. I'm wearing it everyday so there's little need to adjust the time on daily basis. The problem is likely with the 2 day weekend as it lasts only 40 hrs on full charge. Anyway I can live with that. Perhaps I have to adopt a more active life style for the weekend? :)

QUOTE(patryn33 @ Nov 7 2012, 12:52 PM) I wind my watches, attempt to be active may end up putting the shock mechanism into more action. I only adjust it once a week if needed. don't see why its a hassle to do it, I like to interact with my watches on a daily basis. Added on November 7, 2012, 12:58 pmno. auto U will be winding more frequently and esp when its fully wound the clutch mechanism will keep kicking in. doesn't that cause more wear if U think about it? alot of tourbillion are manual wind, if its that bad why don't make it auto esp on those US$200k and up watches? manual, depending on design. One will be pulling out the stem the wear is the gasket around the stem. Thanks to those who had shared their experience with me. As it appears that the watch is okay as suggested, will only pop in to the service centre for preventive service/maintenance 2 yrs later.
