I checked my Targus again and I realise the problem now. Mine only 120V (90W) output when the speakers require 240V A/C power. That means I have to go find a better converter.
*
Yup, yu shld get higher voltage output one. Also re-chk mine...220V for universal 3-pin socket & 5V for USB.
Works cos most devices accept 220-240V. tongue.gif

guys..anyone know the extra features after installing oem auto brake lock?
*
Main pros :
1. PnP with only 1 cable to tap into power line of rear brake lamp.
2. Car Ori Alarm Reset Button used for UNlocking doors - No drilling of hole for separate switch & wiring.
3. Press brake pedal to lock all doors. Simple.
5. When open any door, hazard lights will blink for a fixed time...as warning to other road users.

Yup, if there's an "affordable" auto-close gadget, I might go for it, too! whistling.gif

Honestly, when yr time is up, it's up! Not even a BMW, Merz or a tank (in war times) can save yu!!! sad.gif

Fire can b friend or foe. We hv 2use it wisely.
Similarly, a car is a helpful machine or also a weapon. It can kill others & ourselves, too!

Juz dun "invite" yrself for an earlier "departure" nia.
Nor send those yu love "away"...

Hi Bros....

Guess it's time once again to share...my latest DIY! tongue.gif

This time it's an Auto-open Boot Spring...

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Points to note :

1. Rubber tubing has been fitted to "S" hook and also hook end of item to eliminate any possible sounds from vibration when car is on the move. The rubber tubing I used was taken from a 3-core electrical cable ie its outer insulation.
2. Adjustment of protusion of ring end of item has to be done so that the boot lid does not open with too much force. This is done by gradually extending the adjustable end of item.

Eureka! That's it!!
Now lazy me has an auto open boot lid whenever me pull the boot release lever next to the driver's seat!!

Join me?

for me the lazy part is to pull the boot release lever or insert the key to unlock the boot, not the lift up the boot part.

Hey Bros...

What we are discussing here is more abt progress & development. Advancements & improvements that wld make our daily lives so much easier, simpler & more convenient. Correct? Or am I wrong...?

If we ignore all that is available to us, we might as well walk...rather than drive arnd in a car? To go the extreme....? brows.gif brows.gif tongue.gif

Anyway, it's been a truly lively discussion today! Juz over a simple springy thing.
Haven't had one like this in a long time...Tks, everyone! thumbup.gif

Added on March 13, 2012, 2:14 pmps. I got a suggestion that I shld put a warning sticker "Danger! Watch out for Boot!"...
Simply cos no one wld expect a Saga Boot/Trunk lid to spring open!! Haha! rclxm9.gif

Hi Bros....

Can pls listen to recording me made & help to confirm if the engine sound of my FL recorded yesterday (120312) is .........:
1. NORMAL CAMPRO engine sounds;
2. Impending IAFM problem...ATM insignificant/minor only;
3. Confirmed IAFM problem!

Me hv listened to other vid recordings available IAFM problematic sounds. However, in my case, the sound is NOT that loud/obvious but can juz be faintly heard in the background....acc2 my ears... tongue.gif

Didn't record the engine sound when new upon delivery. So no comparison can be made.

Thks a meg in adv.

I think its normal engine sound...if IAFM problem, the sound is loud n clear like helicopter landing.
Should wait for other sifus for confirmation...

QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Mar 13 2012, 10:07 PM)
IAFM faulty is even louder.
Sounds like a screwdriver being hammered on your empty air filter box.

I've been near a landing helicopter. If your IAFM is that loud, I think something is gonna explode  laugh.gif
