I've been silently reading this thread for weeks without registering myself, before I bought my "new" 2nd hand BLM. People over here are damn friendly and wouldn't mind to share how far can their BLM go with a tank of petrol. I even found member post their BLM does >400km/RM50! That is seriously insane to me. Without borrowing a friend's BLM and dry up 2 tank of their petrol(I doubt if there is anybody willing to let me do that), with all the sohighness and without experiencing the actual mileage, I went and bought a used BLM from bank lelong with a good price.
*
Ah, second hand.

I do have a theory but then it would sound really absurd...

QUOTE(limadekad @ Mar 27 2012, 09:09 AM)

In practical, i expect CVT FC is alot better than MT FC due to low rpm of CVT can do, but end up nothing...
*
nope. The VT2 is developed with easy drivability of an automatic transmission with the efficiency of a manual transmission in mind. Meaning, best of both worlds.

Therefore, the FC can be equally the same with a manual but certainly not better.

Please enlighten me. I feels like banging myself on the petrol tank just to fuel it up!
*
this will sound very absurd but i conclude this after interviewing numerous blm/fl users and compared their data with mine.

when the car is still new, the way the car is driven during the first 5,000km is crucial. If during this period, the car spend most of the time high revving and most of the time at speed above 90kmh, then the FC will be better when it is being driven sensibly.

But then this is just one of the bazillion factors which affects FC.

you go take a peek at your front grill. If in front of a radiator, there's another smaller radiator in front at your right hand side, then you dont need ATF cooler.

enough supply for me to use for 2 years. laugh.gif

BTW, all FLX MT users, when you're changing your Manual Transmission FLuid, DO NOT use the normal Proton MT fluid (silver bottle). There is a special fluid for Getrag Manual Transmission one. Green bottle.

Thanks for the tips. I'm using manual FLX. Whats the difference between the two?

Different viscocity rating. And probably different country of make/origin too. It was "Imported by" instead of "Diedarkan oleh".

So when you're at service center and the MT fluid is due to be replaced, insist on retaining the empty bottle in your car so that you can double confirm they used the right oil.
