Go CoSE to claim all those items. Make your reservation early to prevent long waiting period.

CVT as long as you stick to the maintenance schedule and dont always trash it, then it works good.

Oh, and always stick to the Proton CVT fluid (Esso EZL99). Even if you service outside, always buy the CVT fluid from Proton Spare parts center then only service outside.

i see...btw, how many speakers come with the car itself?..as from the website didnt say much about the audio system..personally i tested the persona one..looked very cheapo..
*
4 speakers.

it definitely looks cheap laugh.gif
But the sound quality wise (which is subjective) isn't bad. At least better than the other competitor's hatchback audio system. If one is an ICE enthusiast, not a single OEM ICE can satisfy them.

Which Saga high spec got autocruise? And Saga has Proton/Lotus ride and handling just the same. Difference is, Saga is taller than the Persona, so it is naturally less stable.

Jackal mentioned the throttle lag more severe in the FLX than the Persona, that is due to the CVT's rubber band effect (step on pedal, RPM goes up, but speed climbs slowly.)
*
the multi link set up of the Persona offers a more flat and relatively more stable ride compared to the Saga's torsion beam set up. That's a fact can't be denied.

actual CVT run would be like this:

only rise and no fall as long as the foot is plated on the throttle.

wa..at 110km/h rpm go above 4???? rclxub.gif

btw, what is you guys punya average FC for city drive?..like klang jam go KL for work..lol..

and ohya, what is the interest rate for 5 years/7 years with 20% downpayment?
*
actually 4,000 rpm can go more than 110kph. I personally hit 160kph before at 4,000 rpm on a decline. The reason why the person rev to 4,000 rpm is because the engine is producing the maximun torque at 4,000rpm which will give better acceleration (It is a 0-100kph test).

110kph = 2,600rpm for the 1.3. The 1.6 could be even lower rpm or the same. Never drove one before.

my 1.3, 12.4km/L. 70 highway 30 city, heavy footer.

Another point I would like to make is that the downhill experience is rather strange, but definitely pleasant. I’m not quite sure how to put it in words. I will need more testing before I can articulate my experience.

But to put simply, I found myself braking less to keep myself at a safe speed, which translates into a smooth ride. This was my impression on both sides of the PLUS Highway tunnel near Ipoh. It reminded me of how I enjoyed driving me mate’s new two-year-old Vios from Bukit Tinggi towards the Gombak toll booth. I cannot have the same experience with my parent’s year-old MyVi (AT) or very old Unser (AT).
*
the transmission comes with uphill/downhill feature. When you're on an uphill, a slight blip to the throttle will send the rpm go higher due to the ratio being shrink and this makes uphill climb much easier. On a downhill, the software will detect a decline and it will automatically apply engine braking which in turn, it holds the speed at around 50-60km/h.

Eerr...I don't think it's disabled. This is CVT only feature right?Persona using normal AT transmission.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
*
normal AT does have engine braking, but not as strong as CVT

somehow my normal AT engine braking is strong, i don quite like it  shakehead.gif
mayb its due to ECU settings instead of gearbox itself?
*
different gearbox different tuning.

QUOTE(ahpingko @ Mar 20 2012, 01:03 PM)
Btw.. How long is the warranty for it?..so far any major issue on its engine/transmission??
*
Nothing major after 13,5xxkm of hard driving and strained driving conditions.

QUOTE(dares @ Mar 20 2012, 01:22 PM)
Generally, powertrain components (engine and CVT), 3 years or 100k km.

The rest, 1 year. Power window, lifetime.
*
Do note that the lifetime is a car's life time which typically means 10 years.

QUOTE(ahpingko @ Mar 20 2012, 01:23 PM)
I can afford for both..thats y keep asking which better..cz that extra 10k difference, i can use for other stuff..if saga obviously nt good, then i will go for persona h line..but it seemed to be quite good..

save up that 10k, pump 97. WINRAR

INFO about CVT Light Indicator

Whenever your CVT light comes on, it doesn't necessary means your gearbox has overheated. It could mean other possibilities such as belt slip, pulley slip, control unit overloading (my own term tongue.gif) or belt snap. My CVT indicator has light up once again today when I was traveling on NPE at the speed of around 110kph. It was certainly not overheating, and thanks to my recently changed exhaust system, I can hear and feel what exactly went wrong. It was caused by a belt slip and also the control unit overloading. What happened is that after exiting the tol at PJS5 heading towards the ramp to Subang Jaya, there's a Lexus behind me. Being courteous, I move my vehicle to the middle lane and coincidentally it is a downhill slope. What happened was, the downhill recognition feature kicks in which in turn engages engine braking. While mechanically it is doing that, my human foot is actually pressing on the throttle slightly and my throttle level is on the borderline which makes the CVT control unit confused a little and causes it to try accelerate a bit, then it applied engine braking again then accelerate a bit and then engine brake again. When I hentam a bit on the throttle, it lurched a bit forward then the light came on and the car is in safe mode. I released the throttle and I can feel the belt is tightening back and the light then disappear and I can continue on my journey with a heavy foot all the way till I reach my destination.

Therefore, to other Saga FLX owners, when your light is on, dont panic. Foot off the throttle and then observe. If the light doesn't turn off a few seconds later, put on signal and gradually roll to the emergency lane safely. Let it rest a while by turning off the engine then turn on again. If the light lights up momentarily and turns off after you let go of the throttle, you may proceed with your journey.

That's why it is important to look for a credible and reliable insurance panel.

So far Allianz, UniAsia and P&O is not bad.
