Was wondering if upgrading the air filter will improve on power and FC or just have it cleaned during the next service? Feel that going up slope sometime on 2nd gear a bit underpower. Mine is FL manual. Did not do any enhancement to engine, relatively still stock with recent change of spark plugs to platinum. Mileage touching almost 20K. Currently using esso 95, FC a bit on high side. Maybe bcos of underpower, tend to "tekan" a little harder. Any advise?

Assuming you mean drop in filter, it probably is not going to make alot of difference in terms of power.

upgrading air filter will increase the power by a small margin. No doubt. But it doesn't affects the FC. It will only affects the FC when you're too obsessed with the power increase and keep on mashing the throttle to feel the power. lol

Added on March 14, 2012, 8:38 amps. Me ordered 1 unit activated carbon impregnated aircon/cabin air filter for BLM/FL/FLX fr Spore guy. Wanna try see if more restrictive air flow (or negligible) than plain paper element type.
Despatching 2day fr JB. So shld get by 2moro.

My car now 61k adi, tak tak tak can be heard, but confirm not IAFM problem...

Anybody modded their HU? Actually I would like to change my HU but worried bout steering wheel button control cant be use anymore.

Got any branded HU that can support our existing wheel button control? OR just replace the stock speaker with good ones and add amp somemore?

I have some problems on my ride, need some advice from the pros here:
1. When the compressor fan is activated, sometimes I hear some croaking sound coming from the engine, rpm meter didn't go down and up when I hear the sound, so is it air-cond or something else?
2. Sometimes during braking, I hear some knocking sound coming from the back, anybody else experienced the same problem?

Is air cond compressor kickin. At that time you will feel cold.

Usually EFI engine will auto feed in more fuel to compensate RPM drop during compressor ON, our engine did the same thing also, however i found that during idle, our RPM will stay there like magnet, RPM won't go up/down even compressor ON/OFF, i think they adi preprogram the ECU, once we din press pedal, RPM will just stay at 800-900RPM even the actual RPM is vary...

You can just simply prove it by ur own, stand behind your exhaust tip, when compressor ON, the air blow out is stronger, but RPM needle still stay the same...

I also facing the no. 2 problem. Still don't know what is the knocking sound at the back, still figure it out.

If like that proton monopoly the CVT oil for its car...hmm.Really no any alternative eg:Honda CVT or Toyota CVT oil.

Not Proton monopoly it...i bet this recommended by Punch auto instead..CVT is a sensitive AT, it need particular oil to work better...even Honda CVT they also the same, use their own oil.
