I like that earphones. In-ear ones are not that comfortable. Unfortunately they don't sell those earphones in that Starter Kit separately.

QUOTE(Music Mania @ Mar 4 2012, 03:58 PM) Quoted from a review of the Thrustmaster cases: "Packed in the bottom layer of the case you have custom fit foam insulation that your PS Vita sits very snugly in to … so much so I worried it was going to squish the L and R buttons." http://brutalgamer.com/2012/02/25/thrustma...ound-up-review/ Oh gimme gimme gimme that Thrustmaster Uncharted case already! Need it to protect the US Vita.Guess it wouldn't fit with a TPU/silicon casing on the Vita. |

I would LoL at the pretend-faux-militaryness of the other one.
Going to PlayTime, getting a second Vita cradle. One to charge, one to sync. Just slip into the cradle. Done. PS3-PS Vita transfer messing up again just now. Found out why. In my case, I needed to sign out of my US PSN account, leave the same US PSN account signed in the PS Vita, then connect them both together, then only Content Manager works. Otherwise it'll give the "Could not connect to the PS3" error message. |

Signed in on Vita. Sign out of PS3. Connect Vita to PS3 using USB cable. PS3 will pop up message about to transfer you need to sign in the same account as per on your Vita. NOW you sign in into your PS3 PSN account. Content Manager bubble bounce up and down. Tap to open. Voila!

The Thrustmaster SPF Vita case:
I've expected it to be plasticky, so personally, IMO, the black color one looks as toy-ish as the Uncharted one. Especially evident at the silver stripe/lock mechanism. The black "faux-brushed metal on plastic" look at top will not hide the plastickyness, unfortunately. Expecting the same with my Uncharted version. |

The soft slip pouch that is part of the Starter Kit in US. I'm using it now. The thumb sticks will protrude the slip pouch but I've been tossing it inside my Muzetto and Billingham while traveling, the thumb sticks works like it was when first opened.
Otherwise the travel pouch. I even put my Vita in the soft slip pouch, plant it at the back of my back pocket, and go. Just have to remember to take it out when sitting. |

My own setup.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Playstation Vita & Aliph Jawbone Jambox. I prefer fidelity over bass, hence why the bias to treble. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « That startup voice can be downloaded from Aliph Jawbone's website. You can also use Siri with the Jambox, dictate notation into the Jambox and have your iPhone record and notify it into text, and be your speakerphone in your car. Pressing the + and - together activates "LiveAudio" that simulations 4-speakers spatial sound, at the expense of audio loudness. The many different apps available for Jawbone Jambox is available at this link:- http://mytalk.jawbone.com/jb2/mytalk/?5 ![]() I've also the Sony DR-BT50 Wireless Bluetooth Headphones, but am not inclined to use it since BT drains power, I'd prefer a wired solution. If I do wanna just recline back, sit back and relax, I'll either use the Beyerdynamics DT1350 or Denon AH-D5000 with Headamp Pico USB/DAC portable amp. These are the remnants from my previous foray into audio listening. I've found out that so far, there are no adequately loud headphones you can use with the Vita, without amplifying it with a suitable portable amp. I can try and use my Bose QC3 noise cancelling headphones with the Vita but I hate the negative audio wave pumped to cancel ambient noise. Audio without a suitable portable amp will sound tiny on a headphone, which is why I could see Sony going with IEMs only. This post has been edited by stringfellow: Mar 5 2012, 03:26 AM |

QUOTE(Dyna-Storm @ Mar 5 2012, 12:45 PM) Personally I think wired is STILL the way to go in terms of fidelity. When I listen back between the BT and wired headsets, there's significant differences. Portable BT headphones and speakers tend to distort at higher volume, forcing you to reduce the volume to midrange. Unless you're talking about the Bose Soundlink Wireless. But then again, you can achieve better fidelity with wired anytime with less hit on your budget. Problem is, as you wish for better quality in your audio from the Vita, it doesn't have enough power to drive better headphones with higher impedance. Then have to compensate with portable amp. Your once portable Vita is no longer portable with portable amp dangling between it and your headphone line. I'm returning to my Sony EX Monitor IEM. They're a bit uncomfortable to me, but they provide the best sound without having to pump up the volume to maximum. BT headphones works too, but having fear the loss of power once the BT headphones run outta juice is another worry I don't wanna have to face. |

I moved away from anything Beats once I realize that I can get significantly better audio fidelity with lower price tag or on parity with other audiophile-quality headphones. Hence the Beyerdynamics DT1350. Ditched my Beats Solo HD for that.

QUOTE(Dyna-Storm @ Mar 5 2012, 01:25 PM) Agreed on the wired part Still there. Played Hot Shot Golf and Virtua Tennis 4. Split second decision games like this, and what's happening on screen isn't what you hear per se on your BT headphones.Another bad experience I had with BT is the lag. When watching movies or playing games, I noticed there's like a 0.1 second delay. That was a few years back btw. This post has been edited by stringfellow: Mar 5 2012, 01:30 PM |

Ninja Gaiden Black on Xbox difficulty is LEGENDARY. I rage after the stage where you meet the what-her-face-with-huge-boobs. They've toned it down slightly on Sigma/Sigma+ but still sadistic.

Depending on your games. It'll probably wouldn't matter in the long run, but you will have that thought at the back of your mind.

DT1350 would sound tiny unless you have a portable amp.

One Red Hori SP please, Alex. Pick it up after I get back from Tokyo on Thursday.
I've also purchased Barrierchief SP, to see how good it is. Sticking it onto the US Vita later. |

Split-second decision games. In FIFA, your field of view is so far away, you see your player small like ants. Unless you can exactly see when and how he dribbles it, the lag is masked.
Little Deviant isn't exactly a fast reflex game, ambient sound makes the audio hear coherent. Try with Hot Shot Golf, or Virtua Tennis. |

Then in that case, it's a non-issue. Pray that you don't get BT lag on over games you play.
