QUOTE(tennytyy @ Mar 5 2012, 04:28 PM) so normally bluetooth headset will having delay when playing games compare to wire headset? It happens intermittently. Bluetooth 2.1 EDR only has 2.1Mbps bandwidth and PS Vita still hasn't moved to the Bluetooth 4.0 SR standards that has bandwidth up 24Mbps. Smaller throughput = you either sacrifice sound quality for coherent, consistent audio, or you push audio fidelity to the best you can hear, BUT at the risk of lag. 4.0 frees you from those limitations.

QUOTE(Rei7 @ Mar 6 2012, 02:17 PM) Will let you know guys. I just used the Near app today and I'm quite surprised that 9 people already own a PSV near my house. That includes Ninja O.O The way Near works, is that concentric circles will expand in range until it gets a sufficiently large enough data/players near (pun intended) your location. For example, if it detects it has enough location data around your present location, it will present it based on how far around you in concentric circles. A person living in the middle of nowhere (kampung place, for example) will have Near enlarging that concentric circle rings to bigger ranges, like 10-20km, until it gets sufficiently enough player location data to present in that Near screen. There is a certain cut off range distance though, although I've never heard of a case of someone living in remote enough location, have Internet connection, and owns a PS Vita, and checks out his Near. In your case, the Near app has detected enough player location data sample on a 4km radius and present it as such. When I got mine and brought it to Kansai, it has trouble getting enough sample data and expanded that radius range to 20km before presenting it with a couple of location spots of players there. QUOTE(xXAaronXx @ Mar 6 2012, 05:44 PM) How to get NEAR working for Wifi mode ? It always could not detect my location. For the Wifi model it will rely on the accuracy based on data submitted to Skyhook Wireless. It's more accurate over in the States, but you an the accuracy over international locations by submitting tr location of your wireless router MAC address to Skyhook Wireless. http://www.skyhookwireless.com/location-te...gy/coverage.phpThis post has been edited by stringfellow: Mar 6 2012, 05:55 PM

The trouble with external batteries is not about it's power output. I learned this the har way. Even low amperage batteries work, it'll charge the Vita, albeit slower than the higher output ones. The problem is, Sony being the selfish greedy corporation they are, decides to short out the charging pin in the USB port so that it doesn't recognize the charging output of a standard USB port, and want people to get their own external battery they gonna sell in May. Which is why Alexlwh had to bring that USB adapter in to correct that.

QUOTE(kridas324 @ Mar 6 2012, 10:48 PM) well if that's the case then we all screwed, btw have u tried to charge ur vita without usb mod on ur yoobao? does it work? It charges only when it doesn't go to sleep. The moment it goes to sleep, it stops charging. Turn the screen back on. It will not charge. Only once remove the cable and reinsert it back again it continues charging. But later it stops charging once it goes to sleep.

QUOTE(harimackenzie @ Mar 6 2012, 11:29 PM) R2 is Japan and Europe. QUOTE(kevink82 @ Mar 6 2012, 11:46 PM) Idk was asking if anyone has it lol.... It's listed as compatible with the vita on momax site. There are external batteries with the USB adapter that charges the Vita built in them. The Elecom 2350 is one of them. The problem is you're playing a guessing whether it does with the Vita or otherwise.

What the impressions on Unit 13, fellas? Only 3 reviews on Metacritic, and not that encouraging, base score is 74 only. My finger hovering on the buy button but I'm not sure if I should get it.

From the review videos I saw at IGN, one thing came to mind to about Unit 13: generic. Sigh......and I thought we'd get at least an okay FPS.

QUOTE(kridas324 @ Mar 7 2012, 12:03 PM) string, just dl the demo first and try it compared to other new 3rd person shooter on psn (Binary Domain) I think Unit 13 is worth a try Already did. The demo went well, entered the compound, no sound, then Vita starts stuttering like hell, I bailed out. It looked okay, but not spectacular. Plus the premise of leader board based on what you do and not storyline driven is kinda losing my interest. Worth a try, definitely. Worth USD35.99? I'm not so sure. If I do buy this, I'd get a physical copy so that if really don't like it, I can sell it. Only digital download copies for the games I really like to keep. EDIT: Binary Domain gets the coldest of cold shoulder here in the gaming section Yodobashi. Nobody gave it a second glance. Kesian. This post has been edited by stringfellow: Mar 7 2012, 12:08 PM

That's the whole idea. Otherwise, this month.....what other games left to get on Vita? Motorstorm RC is free. MK is next month. So is Disgaea. Resistance in May, Gravity Rush in June. Please don't ask me to get Silent Hill Book of Memories. An isometric top down view Silent Hill loses its fear/horror factor.
