Most delays with JRPGs would involve voice over work, which is why they take close to 6 months to re-record them to English.

But with Gravity Daze/Rush, there are no voice-overs requiring re-recording. The characters in the game speak their own made-up language, which would stay/sound the same in its English version. The only localization work required would be the textual content. That alone would cut the time needed.

Sure, they can stagger. But in the mean time, what's keeping the Vita interesting to those looking for RPG-style content in the English language?

I believe its more to lessen the competition between games i guess. Mostly everyone be expecting for Gravity Rush and since everyone be looking forward to buy this game, it may cause other games to suffer loss when clashes release date with Gravity Rush since not everyone on the budget to buy lot of games. I mean in japan, mostly people go for Gravity Rush and not Uncharted which make Uncharted look pretty bad (as well as loss) compared to it when Uncharted shouldn't have been the main title for ps vita.

But that just my opinion tongue.gif

Okay, going by your opinion, what game release would suffer if they release Gravity Daze/Rush today?

The only competition Gravity Daze/Rush has is itself. Delaying it further will drive people from hearing about it, to disinterest about when it launches 3 months later.

If the delay is about language localization, I would have no say about its delays. If it is about stagger......well, staggering it with what titles in between? Mortal Kombat? Call of Duty? Motorstorm? A person interested in those games wouldn't be putting much interest in a Japanese action adventure game, they're of different genre. Those who had waited, continues to wait, and grow restless, frustrated, lose interest and move on elsewhere. Who lost the sales now?

anyone here has a r1 uncharted wanna trade for a R3?
*
I have R1 unopened. But why would anyone wanna do that?

QUOTE(kevink82 @ Mar 1 2012, 05:15 PM)
It will be worth the wait i think if they do a good translation, the chinese one is pretty bad. Some of the sentence look like its been translated by a kid in the chinese version which puts me off a little.....
*
As I reiterated, if it's localization effort taking time, we have no choice but to wait. If it's because of staggering the release, what games are they putting in between now and June to stagger?

Yes you need to have that USB adapter. Otherwise it'll stop charging once the PS Vita goes to sleep mode.

Who the hell is being sarcastic? shocking.gif I frequent the US a lot and have my own set of friends there playing online on US PSN. You think I was being sarcastic? How about finding more about the situation before coming to assumptions and conclusions. You know what they say about "assumption" being the mother of.

And oh, this is me being decent as well. After being "nicely brushed" by you with your assumptions.

How much are they selling it for? Curious. tongue.gif

RM940 for the 3G model, with AT&T sim card pre-installed. Only need to use DataConnect Prepaid Pass when I'm in the States. From this link, it's USD14.99 for 30 days. Prepaid so that I can choose to disconnect when not in use.

hahaha.. how many vita you already have??
I'm pretty sure you have unlimited budget for gaming, haven't you ? tongue.gif

Anyway, anybody have recommendation for normal earphones? not in ear type please, I don't like in ear, it's like using cotton bud sweat.gif
any best buy out there?

thanks
*
I'm still searching myself. I'm using back my old iPod earphones. Larger headphones sounds tinny, in-ears is uncomfortable but gives the best sound isolation and audio quality with the Vita audio port. Sigh.....

I think the 3G US set works for those who frequent the States like you  laugh.gif

For us, not so much - no coverage here I presume  doh.gif
*
Correct. It doesn't make sense to get one here, if you're primarily staying here. I move around a lot, hence the Vita is attractive to me. Even had an iPad 2 with AT&T sim inside for my use in US.

Wonder when Motorstorm would be available? Enjoying the demo version. Will they sell a physical copy for that title? Or just PSN downloads?
*
Buy the Vita game, get the PS3 game free. And it's cheap too, should be USD9.99.

please PM when u have the information

No Wifi US model from them bro. Djinn figured that people who bought the US 3G model uses it as WiFi model since you can't use AT&T DataConnect here. For RM940, pretty sweet deal with free 8GB memory card I can sell.

Going to LA end of this month. Go there. Subscribe to USD14.99 AT&T DataConnect. Free Wipeout 2048. I can sell that too since it's a redeem code.

Wipeout 2048? I thought Super starstrike delta?

Oooops I stand corrected. Wipeout 2048 is free with Vodafone 3G activation in Europe. US is Super Stardust Delta.

This clause on the US Playstation blof intrigues me:

QUOTE
If I travel internationally, will my 3G unit still work?
The 3G / WiFi unit will still be able to pick up a 3G signal even when outside of the country. However, additional data packages will need to be purchased in order to cover your data usage during these scenarios. These plans can be purchased on the PS Vita just like your standard 3G data packages.

$24.99 for 50MB in over 100 select countries*
$49.99 for 125MB in over 100 select countries*
$99.99 for 275MB in over 100 select countries*
$199.99 for 800MB in over 100 select countries*

Meaning I have data connection outside of continental USA? Roaming charges no doubt.
