Hmm all these Tegra games cropping up are rather annoying, why limit the game to the processor >_>

Tegra 3 looking relatively attractive now tongue.gif

But sadly the S3 will not have Tegra 3 chipset..

Is there any Samsung Galaxy S2 emulator out there?
It's good sometimes, you know what will happen if you did this or that.
So it's very good in predicting whether the phone will brick or not, I heard you could create the S2 emulator, and even install apks on it via a computer..

Hey, does anyone knows how to output the sound from the S2 to an external speaker?
I really want to play the piano app but the sound is too soft, its better to output it to external speakers.
Is it possible?
Thanks.

Whoa, sounds really serious there. Can you summarize the drawback of G-version? I mean, not from CPU/GPU aspects etc...
*
I also can tell you the difference because I bought 2 sets SME G version, and one set non-G.
I sold my G version leaving one left, after 2 months of usage. Why?
Because first of all you tube desktop lags, even 720p, unless you download Tube Mate and stream you tube videos, then its fine. There are no bugs for me, but the camera sometimes hang and becomes so hot, and then must restart the phone. That is not the end of the story, after upgrading to 2.3.6 the hanging issue becomes worse and worse, and more frequently. Then I decided its' time to let go, and let it be. Simple things like going to settings will hang sometimes, it just makes no sense that the S2 can hang, even without multitasking. But all this issue I stated above its because of cracked apps, I am not joking, its the truth, so you can buy G version, but don't install cracked apps.
Other than that, not much different. And if you are very particular, the G version lags slightly when scrolling down the music list and contact. But the end of the day, if I were you, I would wait for S3 coming soon.

Conclusion is, it isnt that g version is problematic, is end user go install pirated apps that make the phone like this. So,  its users like u who shud be blamed for the hang and not the phone itself
*
Yeah, but I'll buy the apps soon. First must purchased debit card.

actually i support the idea of
'get a non g or don't get a S2 at all'

reason is that i really have no confidence in the g version.
mine is non g, have *ahem some crack games on it. but never hang before (seriously, NEVER). worst case is sometimes app force close, or it restart itself during heavy usage multitasking (very very very rarely).

but my friends g version, non rooted and no crack apps. all of a sudden under normal use also will hang. hang as in the whole phone stop responding. camera also always hang. need remove battery or long press power button kind of hang. he often complains in his fb. for a android noob like him, make him no confident in android only.

non g uses the very smooth and powerful exynos.
thats the difference that sets it apart.

for new users, if you are spending close to RM2k, recomend you get the galaxy note.
also use exynos. bigger amoled. :-)
*
I can't agree with you more, it's non-G or no S2.
The Exynos is the best CPU in the world, quoted by some sources, if I am not mistaken by GSM arena.

Added on March 3, 2012, 11:46 amJust want to add something the G version did not have a grand opening, Samsung just let it sip into the market trying to make the customers believe that they have the non-G version. Back 2 months ago, people like me never turn the box around and check to see whether is G or non-G. After all nobody knows G exists, I was one of the first people who bought the G, even before the news had leaked out for the specs of the G. Then only I realised that I was cheated by Samsung.

I think I have to agree with you at the end of the day, I remove all my cracked apps, and no more lag for the G model.. So conclusion is remove cracked apps so it will not lag, or hang, even if it hanged, maybe a few weeks once. Who knows.. for now no more hang..

Well I've got the G version and I can't wait to get rid of it once S3 is out and I've got enough dough to buy it. Why? Let me tell you why and bear with me its quite long whining. Spend almost 2K on a phone I can say its not wrong for the long whining.

Its all because of only one aspect of the phone but its a major aspect because I use it most of the time when using this phone. Music player. I never installed cracked apps as advised by most user here so the phone should be doing fine but no. Its never fine.

First, it freeze when I put it in my pocket after I played an mp3 player. Regardless whatever player I used. Stock player, winamp, poweramp. Its not normal freeze but you-can't-do-sh*t-unless-you-take-off-the-battery-freeze. It happen every time after the phone been up for quite some times. If restart, the same case won't happen again.

Then there's the skipping of the track problem. When the mp3 player been using for quite some times, the player will randomly skip some tracks. Sometimes the whole playlist. It started with minor skipping within the song then it goes haywire skipping all those track as it pleased. This also happen regardless whatever player I can throw to the phone. I try paused it and go back the track it skipped and played it again, still can play fine then after a while skipping will began again. Its annoying as sh*t.

That's all happen on a stock rom. Then I followed advice from fellow forumer to change to custom rom and flash different kernel and now I'm using superROM v2.0 with superatmos kernel 2.1 (using Lucifer for a while but battery draining double fast so change back to superatmos).

Okay, the freezing problem gone with the wind. But still there's a few freeze or minor hang when using other apps but those doesn't bug me much. But the skipping track problem still persist and it bugs me as a hound from hell. A few other nights when on the way back from work I felt like I want to threw this phone to pieces when the skipping problem still occurred even after I flashing rom and kernel if not for its 1.7K price. If it cost me 200 ringgit this phone would be already been in pieces somewhere at Kastam JB.

So, I thought maybe its microSD because I'm using 32GB class 4. So, I took the 16GB class 10 from my now useless Mi300 and tried it. Got off from work open player and played the files. For quite some time it was doing okay. I felt happy but only those happiness to be shattered into pieces as I almost reach my destination minor skipping within tracks occurred. Then the major super freaking annoying major skipping tracks began. It still happening on class 10 microSD but took a little longer. FYI, this problem never occurred when I'm using my CSL Mi300 and even the now super useless HTC Touch before. Other aspect of S2 works like charm and I love every other thing on the phone just the music player irritates me to the death.

My impression towards Samsung phone degrading. Might even considered now about that S3. Sigh~
*
Sorry, what do you mean by skipping tracks?
You mean it jumps from song one to ten?
It's because you select shuffle songs..
Just click on the icon and there will be the icon of shuffling off.
Is that what you mean?

Have you guys experienced it when the keyboard just hangs for quite awhile when you're typing. Happens to me frequently.

For me never hanged before.
But I normally used wifi keyboard, connect my laptop to the S2, that way I can reply text messages very fast, easy and reliable, accurate, and not trouble some..

Guys very quick question...

I've read in many forums on rooting the phone but they ask to use 'superoneclick' after ODIN. But the thing is superoneclick tells me the phone is already rooted, do you want to continue...what is the difference between these two?

Also btw, what is a more stable recommended custom ROM?
*
I don't really get what you mean. If your phone is already rooted, then it is. If it is not yet rooted, the superuser icon will not appear. After you flash your insecure kernel, then you must use superoneclick and click on root the phone and reboot. After rebooting the superuser icon will appear. I don't really get what you mean by what is the difference, the difference is that it is different.
