I just checked out of curiousity.

I'm running Turkbey v37 with Neak 1.3.3. I plugged in my USB OTG and it works. No problem at all.

I guess your problem is not due to Neak kernel.

Added on March 1, 2012, 11:06 pm

Maybe you can only download one time. After that it recognises your phone is downloading more then 1 time then cannot...maybe they give free  to 1 phone, 1 IMEI number, 1 ROM, 1 time only.....haha...
*
Like I said, mine was 1.3.2x, not 1.3.3. I flashed Siyah and immediately my USB OTG worked perfectly.

Where do I find the app to configure the Siyah kernel? It was not bundled inside his kernel.

QUOTE(Are_keem @ Mar 3 2012, 12:46 AM)
Why is it so? Read few bout this G and non-G thingy, but does it make big differences for moderate user (not really interested in those rooting thingy and whatsoever including gaming)?
*
It makes virtually no difference now. They both can perform up to the same level and both are just as fast as each other. Infact, the G version can turn on much faster and wakeup from sleep much faster.

QUOTE(Are_keem @ Mar 3 2012, 12:54 AM)
Whoa, sounds really serious there. Can you summarize the drawback of G-version? I mean, not from CPU/GPU aspects etc...
*
The only drawbacks are some people find that their phone crashes alot when there is a MicroSD card in it. The other bugs can be fixed with a custom ROM. I have both the G and the non-G. I can tell you with 100% certainty that it makes zero difference to most people. Both can game just as well. If you look at benchmarks, you would notice that the non-g is slightly higher, but benchmarks never tell the whole story. They are virtually the same phone.

And like I said, I can tell you this because I have both in my house. Many people are biased because they have only used either the G only or the non-G only.

Mind sharing any tips or links of guideline about this?
But using video player is no trouble at all even those 1GB mkv is just fine on the long run. That's why it bugs me why the hell it can't handle those simple mp3..
hopefully, hopefully~

If you want to play your gameloft games off the SD card, you need to modify the apk's. If you have already bought the game, then find your way to get the apk. Once you have it, you use this patcher and patch the game.

On 16 hours of CRv6, 1hour 20 mins screen on time. 50 minutes of which was spent heavy gaming(30 PVZ, 20 MC2). 50% battery left. Wifi and data off all the time.

@elimnist &ashwin how's screen on time? Can beat RP or not

Added on March 4, 2012, 7:53 am@antt can guide me how to change the profile file to increase auto brightness levels? Thanks biggrin.gif
*
I cannot really comment on how long the screen on time is. With RP, my screen was always much dimmer. Now with Siyah it is brighter. So cannot really comment on how long it can last. If you look for my few previous posts, I said how long I could go with 50% battery.

Ignore the alarm screen. Focus on your partial wakelocks. My alarm screen has bmw with 2000+counts. My phone is now on 1 day and 9 hours and the longest wakelock is 3 minutes.

The screen off frequency should not be too low. In my Xperia X1 running CM7.1, when I use setCPU to lock the CPU to 128MHz when the screen is off, it takes like 6 seconds for the screen to wake up if a mp3 is playing. When I disable the profile, it wakes up as fast as it normally would. This is a single core phone so the difference is noticeable, but there will definitely be a difference even for the S2

Mine is #56. Where did you get the latest version from? XDA or his website?

Once I get the Fx Tweaks app. Do I need to uninstall my Voltage control? It seems like my Fx is not reading the values correctly. What about the 2nd core and also Touch Move? It seems like they are all included in that one app

QUOTE(ellimist @ Mar 5 2012, 07:56 PM)
The EX tweak for Siyah?

It'll read what's in your /data/.siyah/default_profile.

These values run early in boot, so init.d runs after it, and startup service in VC runs last. But when you amend anything in Ex Tweak, it takes effect immediately. Just that in your next boot it runs before init.d & startup services

Update your VC, it won't show GPU anymore (which is a conflicting setting between the 2 apps).

Yeah 2nd core and Touch Move should be fine if you don't have any other scripts amending the values after it
*
Ahh, thanks biggrin.gif . I had to stop using ondemand on Siyah and instead am now using lulzactive which I have tuned with the lulzactive app to give me good smoothness. Siyah ondemand is so jerky. Cannot compare at all to NEAK. But my tweaked lulzactive is super smooth tongue.gif

How's battery life on those settings? Ah so you went for lower load so it'll pump up more, but at lower pumps (2)
*
Battery life is pretty OK so far. I don't really care if it takes up a little more power because I just could not stand how laggy Siyah is compared to NEAK. With those settings, the smoothness is equal to NEAK. I made it pump up after a shorter period and at a lower CPU load, and when it increases, it increases by 2 steps. Default is 1 step.

Yeah trying your settings now. I've left up sampling at default for now, seems to work well for now. Will play around and see.

Hmm it's not particularly laggy right, just more stutters in ondemand compared to lulz

Added on March 5, 2012, 9:08 pm

Hmm didn't know this, shoot. K setting pin much better than deleting credit card after every purchase laugh.gif
*
It stuttered in my home screen and some of my games. But it lagged when it came to the market. At one point, I had to check to see if I was running the phone in single core mode(which I do when I need it to last the whole day with heavy use) or if I had underclocked it. It was actually running at full speed.

@pikachu01,

I wanted to ask if your Thunderbolt scripts can be applied to any Android device? I have a phone that has CWM, does that mean I can flash the zip file and then run the scripts?

I also have a no brand Android tablet with no recovery. Can I run the scripts with script manager? I think I can only run the sqlite_optimise script safely. Is the s70darky_zipalign a device specific thing?

Thanks for all your coding work smile.gif
