but I can't find what apps cause the wakelock. .before this never face this.
*
Why your wifi on off on off? Maybe got problem keep wanna reconnect. If you dunno what app try rebooting phone. Then monitor if it still happen and take note of app you open to catch it if it happens again.

u mean battery monitor widget could make the wakelock?
*
Ignore it. It does not cause wakelock. I have it as well.

oh, I used green power.so WiFi will disconnect after screen on and turn on every 30 min.

Added on March 4, 2012, 6:44 pmwill restart the phone and monitor again.

Not to say super alot. didn't monitor off screen long enough. About 15 seconds over 5 min off screen time previously.

Oh meaning when entering into sleep it has to go up to 800mhz first? Thought as long screen is off the max freq or whatever is 500mhz etc
*
It goes to 800 first then enter sleep. The 500 freq pikachu was refering to is the screen off max freq. They are diff.

K sorry for asking this, but I'm a little clueless.

So I'm guessing I go to thunderbolt screenstate scalling. Then down to point 4 where
CODE
# ==============================================================
# ==============================================================
# step [4] tweaks to the governor while screen is OFF (phone in idle or doing its thing on its on)
# ==============================================================
# ==============================================================
# ==============================================================
# limiting the max/min frequencies [not used by default]
# ==============================================================
# =========
# set maximum & minimum frequency to 100 & 400 MHz - that should hopefully be enough for DSP effects & prevent buggy apps from draining the battery too much
# =========
#echo "400000" > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq
#echo "100000" > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_min_freq

I remove # from the 2 echo lines, and change the max and min frequency to 200000?

rclxub.gif
*
I dun think you need screenstate scaling for siyah ondemand. It have its own sleep freq.
CODE
echo 200000 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/ondemand/suspend_freq

Look for this line.

Ah found it. It's at 500000.

Erm, what's the difference between the previous min/max scalling vs suspend_freq.

Notice they're in different locations also (cpu0 vs cpufreq)

rclxub.gif
*
That one is setting your max and min freq like 100 - 1200 or 200 - 1200 etc. If lets say the governor got no sleep mode then you can use screenstate scaling to limit min and max freq when in sleep. Sort of like setcpu sleep profiles.

Ah ok, some governers have no deep sleep?  blink.gif

Btw I went to the directory itself and saw the 500000. Assuming I want to change it I should be finding the script somewhere, and not manually amend the file in that directory? If so, where's the script ah >_<
Sorry real bad at this script/int.d stuff
*
Not sure leh. I use my own script. Let me see through pika's script. Get back to u.

Ah thanks rclxub.gif

But basically don't amend the file in that directory kan? Always use script to echo?
*
I cannot find it. rclxub.gif You can manually add that line in thunderbolt main script S98system_tweak. Its a long script so use pc with notepad++ if possible. There is some ondemand tweaks at the bottom of the script.

This scripts thing really confusing rclxub.gif i think i just wait for xan's app sweat.gif
*
Xan's app can only change general settings like those in bolt_siyah script. Governor specific setting still need to use scripts. Gokhan wanna keep the app simple.

Aduhs pengsan

So add
CODE
echo 200000 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/ondemand/suspend_freq
to system tweak at te end using notepad++, then delete the old one, move new one into init.d balik with root explorer, and change permissions?
*
yes and reboot.

Add what line to s98system tweak at ondemand section? Feel like lowering my sleep freq to 200mhz too
*
Maybe can ask pika to make thunderbolt 2.5.2 with this line included.

Having a suspend frequency of 500MHz is alright. 200MHz might be too low causing devices to keep being awake for a longer time when doing a task.
*
I actually run mine at 800 for some time. tongue.gif Cos i dun think it will save much as device should be in deep sleep. Set it to 500 for now.

The screen off frequency should not be too low. In my Xperia X1 running CM7.1, when I use setCPU to lock the CPU to 128MHz when the screen is off, it takes like 6 seconds for the screen to wake up if a mp3 is playing. When I disable the profile, it wakes up as fast as it normally would. This is a single core phone so the difference is noticeable, but there will definitely be a difference even for the S2
*
If you use siyah S2 is the same cos gokhan disable 2nd core in screen off state. But not sure if both cores are called when waking up.

Hmm true, I'm gonna leave it for now, tak mahir script x.x

But assuming wanted to add, have to add to a specific section, or can just add line below as another script running at the end?

And say I open a script file, some scripts are left margined, while others are indented inwards. Does the indent and all make a difference? unsure.gif
*
You can add it to the matching ondemand place. If you get what i mean.

Latest version is on xda. Only tar format. Put tar file in /sdcard/. Flash with CWM manager (flash kernel > select tar file) or flash with mobile odin.

Hmm setting governor and scheduler part says it'll be overridden by int.d scripts for eg. Assuming same for the rest of the settings.

Like hotplug and smooth scalling parameters seem different in bolt_siyah. Looked into the directory, seems to keep init.d one so concept should be correct. Guess have to amend/remove the script part if wanna use the interface for things which you already have a script for

Hmm I can just move bolt_siyah out of init.d to some other location if I wanna test the other settings via interface right. Then shove it back into init.d and reboot if I want those settings back
*
The kernel setting will run first. If you got other scripts in init.d such as bolt_siyah, it will overwrite the kernel settings. So yes, remove bolt_siyah from init.d. Also GPU/governor/scheduler settings will be overwrite by apps such as voltage control. Remove voltage control settings at boot if you dun need UV or make voltage control settings the same.

Actually, you do not need bolt_siyah script anymore, all of the script setting can be done from the app. You just need to take note of the numbers and plug it into the app if you want to use pika's settings.

Yeah think easier to manage in a centralise location. Gonna move bolt_siyah but leave system_tweak, those seem different. out and You on pika's default settings for hotplug/smooth scalling or GM's one? tongue.gif
*
Neither. I play round and use my own settings. But its almost similar. Yes only move bolt_siyah. You can leave the other scripts.

But it's the fun part bout android, get to tweak as you like biggrin.gif

But yeah, learning curve is steep

Edit : Nvm read wrong, it's pc info not android info rclxub.gif

K roughly tested. Till xan releases an update for whichever app:
1. On boot, if you've tweaked GPU via VC, that'll prevail since it runs later
2. Simply opening ext tweak will revert GPU control to the ext app settings, and now if you open VC, you'll get ext settings minus one 3rd step which you can't see.

A little skeptical if 3rd step works if you have VC, assuming it does rclxub.gif
*
Just set the gpu in VC to be the same as first and second step of extweaks app. VC only support the first 2 step. If those 2 step is the same as extweaks then there is no conflict. U can do that way until he fix VC.

Edit: VC just got an update. Now gpu is hidden if extweaks is installed.

strange thing happened today to my S2

my normal temperature for the phone is around 32C in idle mode

today, i accidentally dropped it (luckily my S2 is shielded pretty well) and no physical damage seen. However, now my phone is running at 25C idle mode. if i charge it (w/o any activities), it can reach only 29C

now my phones feel cold in my phone. haha

but not sure if this is a good or bad thing

anyone can comment?

P.S. My capacitive screen stylus just arrive today
*
The temperature is battery temperature not cpu or anything else. So worse come to worse maybe just the battery was damaged. Try taking out the battery and clean the contacts and see. Also check if the pins are affected.
