Otherwise the BIOS will turn it off.

Anyone know where can I get the different weight force springs in the Cherry Mx Switches?

I was thinking, even if I get the cherry G80-3800,
I wouldn't have the springs to mod the weight forces of the springs in the switches....
I saw this guy in Taobao selling switches, but if I buy the whole switches... that would be too pricy just to peel off the springs in it......
*
That's why you buy used(strip down) boards, they are cheap.
Maybe Rm50 for 100 switches.

decided to go for Poker as my portable board...

want to order another full size keyboard for my cousin, PLUM seems quite attracting for that price tag.. any recommendation?
*
PLUM, you get what you pay for. Ask lucidlts, he has a ton of PLUMs

QUOTE(Human10 @ Mar 7 2012, 09:52 PM)
If you don't mind the look, Keycool and Cherry K2.0 should be good options too.
BTW, Poker almost extinct already. Better act fast or you will have to go for the KBT Pure next time... Almost the same but with some oddity in layout and also the BL LED mean no "mod as you want", you need to do soldering jobs if want any mod...
*
I'd prefer the Pure, for the better layout.
LED i think only comes with the Alu version, standard version don't have. I can't confirm this however/

mind explain what you mean by better layout?
*
It's a personal preference.
But the Fn key is where i want it to be, similar to the HHKB. Together with the keys on the the Fn layer
YMMV

RED poker going extinct??? keep no stock...

Last I heard, it was a once a month production run.
I think the tooling and stuff are focused on the KBT Pure, since they share the same casing and board size. I'm just guessing

The noise that the numpad makes is a little bit amplified due to the hollow structure.
In real use, it is not so noisy, especially the clacking sound.

And as always, if anyone wants to try the numpad out, shoot me a PM

The rest is blue.. .. Ducky dont offer mix?

Your mix is really generic. Imagine Ducky had to stop one production line just to make your custom switch keyboard
Ducky did made Mix switches before, but not in the way that you want.
Better off modding it yourself

These are not Topre switch
BTC self design switch.

Layout looks like French ISO. You can do a key remap using "KeyTweak"

Is it even consider as a Mechanical keyboard at these rate?

Quote some line in those Chinese Forum: if you're paying 200, don't even dream to get something have a similar touch with the Realforce.
cry.gif
*
If you want 80% similar to Realforce, the people at Geekhack had a long discussion about that, and they said a keytronic is close to a Realforce.
I tried a Keytronic before, and I'd say it probably is, but then I only press a few buttons, i did not try the whole keyboard out.

Why do you even need stickers like those?
They would get sticky eventually and all the germs and bacteria on your fingers will stick on to those stickers.

Plus it looks terribly ugly.

Nope, as far as I remember, army group and inpad had always sell it at that price.
Not sure why but many of their items(mech kb) are 200TWD cheaper than global.pchome... sweat.gif

BTW, thats still not the cheapest, the cheapest should be in US. When they had offer, they can go real cheap... shocking.gif
Corsair k60 as low as 80USD.
CM Storm Blue as low as 65USD.
*
200NTD to recoup the "$10 shipping worldwide)
Shipping from Taiwan to Malaysia for 1 keyboard via EMS is about 500-600 NTD

You can ask inpad to give you quoation via email, pretty hard to navigate their site
or to ask ArmyGroup to revise the shipping cost if you order a lot of small stuff.

also i heard that the keycap will be flat and have no texture at all =( same thing ah need to do?

1st: Change to otaku(blank with no printing keycaps), then it will had nothing to be worn out. icon_idea.gif
2nd: Ready to pay for the price of around another 6GV2 and go surf in GeekHack/Taobao for fullset dye-sub thick PBT/DS replacement keycaps. It should last forever. whistling.gif
3rd: Go dig in taobao for those engraved but non-printed/side printed keycaps. There will also be nothing to be worn out... sweat.gif

btw whats taobao
*
Don't understand why 6gV2 and 7G has to have different layout, but you are possibly stuck with that set of keycaps for the 6gv2.
There are drop in replacement PBT keycaps for the 7G, but due to the right shift key, 6GV2 will have some keys that will look cacat.

http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=1014108...9_3z6_433362733

I know the picture shows 6gv2, but if you noticed, there are some keys that don't match.

Not a owner, can't say too much bout it.
Features wise it should be OK, with USB NKRO, multimedia keys, detachable wires and so on.

taobao aproximate to:
ebay in US
Mudah in Marehsia

It's called worn out. You rub a thing everyday and it will eventually worn out(and become shiny).
The solution to worn out are:
1. Sandpaper/blasting it after it worn
2. Using PBT keycaps as it is more worn resistant to ABS
3. Using Metal keycaps, it should probably took forever to worn out... rolleyes.gif
*
Taobao is much safer than Mudah.
and while you can debate that ebay is better, I still find the payment with the Taobao system better.

Limiting to Keyboards via Taobao, it's pretty hard to get fake stuff, just extra shiny keycaps when you order double shots.

QUOTE(noobandroid @ Mar 12 2012, 07:11 PM)
i know, there is only one 9008 G2 is PBT, now i thinking either G2 or shiny
