this is totally new to me . i read form website , the red and black switch is for gaming purpose . is that right ?
*
Actually, those thing are just switches, to be pressed to actuate and register stroke into your PC. There isn't really gaming purpose or so on things.

It is more to personal preference then the actual specs.

Blacks like pressing Batu and Red is too light feels like nothing?

WOW, i didn't know 60g and 45g difference is so big  blink.gif  blink.gif  blink.gif

Imagine i give you white switch, 75g, should be completely feel like batu, cannot press.  biggrin.gif
*
Actually, someone in GH really found a keyboard with "batu" Cherry switch. It is a vintage keyboard with vintage cherry white(not cherry clear). One of its key which mapped to "reset" is using a special version of vintage cherry blue, which doesn't actuate even over 400g, trololol...

I am more interested in Trigger instead. It come with standard key layout and potentially come from Costar by some sources.

what's a e-penor?

First time typing on a topre switch now! it felt erm.... really indescribably.....
the weight force is definitely heavier than red switch, now that I m used to red switch,
I think I will need time to get used to it. but is HHKB Pro2 varied weight force or same force?
I kinda felt the A side is lighter than the L side, not too sure, and I m typing on blank key now that I m not sure which is which....

anyway, pics coming soon! with blank black key and grey white key!
BTW: does O-rings works on Topre keys?

go google for it and you will know. tongue.gif

Hi, looks like there is a mech keyboard there that finally suits my need. Macro is a must, K90 may not suit me, I possibly prefer Brown switch.

CM Storm Trigger.

What do you all think ?
*
Erm, I would suggest that it "may"(cause no proof/evidence yet) be a good buy, provided you are a fan of only macro and backlit keyboard.

The reason I say "may" is because some sources claiming that Trigger may be made by Costar(FYI, guesses b4 are iOne made it). In other words, if Costar made it, it may be a good board with built quality comparable to FILCO. If iOne made it, then it may be similar to what Razer BW is.

P/S: Now I am even more convinced that Trigger is made by Costar, cause all boards by Costar are always labeled Made In Taiwan.
http://www.ocaholic.ch/xoops/html/modules/...mTrigger_16.JPG
It also using Cherry style stabiliser, which never saw being used by iOne b4.

Just because it is made in Taiwan, doesn't mean that Costar made it.
I'm just shooting in the dark here, but there are a lot more companies making keyboards in Taiwan than costar alone.
*
But at the very least, the chances of it being made by Costar is higher than that of iOne.

We should wait till someone open it up then only can get a better idea of who actually made it.

A term used to describe the technological prowess of an individual, usually in an internet community. Factors that engorge the e-penis include bandwidth, computer speed, hard drive size, size of DVD collection, and an impressive frag count in any number of popular first person shooters.

It is used when one guy having more pricy or higher class tech related items over others. The pricier, the longer the e-penor. tongue.gif

I don't think HHKB is programmable, but it come with some keys swapping by the dips switch at it's back.

Pretty sure not.

Unicomp keycaps are for the old IBM, Lexmark, and Unicomp BS keyboards.

Interested in an UNICOMP Wildcat b4 but had given up due to the insane shipping.

I wonder whats wrong with my blue switch Filco, some of the switches feels like brown switch already.  unsure.gif the clicky feels gone for some of button

Is there any problem or is it because of how often that i use that button? Any idea how i can make it back to normal??
*
If you mean the loss of the clicky sound, then my wild guess is some dust get into the switches. You need some compressed air or blower to flow into the switches.

Red on grey needs a custom legend. Standard legend will have bad contrast

According to the rate, custom dye sub seems to be cheaper and faster.
I doubt we can even breach the 50 limit, provided will GH even buy a "low yat" keycap? sweat.gif

The filco wasd may suit your need pretty well. Just that the price is quite stiff and I can almost get a full set keycap(of other brand) from taobao with similar price.

Is SP the only keycap manufacturer? Not right? hmm.gif
*
Hell no. Many manufacturers made keycaps. In fact as long as it is plastic maker and had the suitable mold, they should be able to make it.

SP is famous here(and GH) because it is among the only few who take order and made Double Injection(DS) Keycap. IIRC, other some plastic industries also had the ability to make it, just that their cost or order quantity is higher. A few "k" of keycaps may seems lots to us but it may not be the same way by industrial standard. Which is the reason GH is stick to SP everytime.

*
You mean Devlin? I thought they denied that they can do DS on profile keycaps? I saw their DS keycaps in taobao, really the printing isn't DS. They more seems to using DS same colored plastics to make the keycap thick.

Some feedback by GHers.
http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?29056-W...s-Filco-Keycaps

I think the min order quantity may be really high, which is why till today we haven saw any custom caps from Devlin.

*
Which "clear and half clear"?
The seller will say if it is ABS or PBT. If not, the price will tell(PBT normally at least double/triple the price of ABS).
Double shot can be identified by a very high contrast and the back of the keycap aways having some patterns of the 2 colors.

The transparent one is ABS.

ABS and PBT doesn't having much different on visual. Their different lies on the touch feel and durability.

BTW, anyone feel that "MKC" is scary shiat(in a good way)?

1stly they are the 1st one who come out with affordable metal(Zinc) keycaps, but the finish isn't too impressive. They then expand their range to acrylic wrist rest. Next, they come out with "SS7G"-fying wrist rest for Filco 104 & 87, but isn't perfect fit(got some gaps). Next they popped out with the acrylic case for Filco and also CNC anodised aluminium keycaps. After all this, they now go into refinening stage which refine their old flawed products such as Zinc keycap and SS7G wrist rest(heard that now it fit even better).

Their speed and persistent in improving their products and ranges are really impressive....
