In case you can't took out by just sliding left or right, you should use your fingernail and pull out the white stabilizer stems from the keycaps.

QUOTE(kaiserreich @ Mar 13 2012, 04:20 PM) I use the file on the nail clipper. for my razer, it can be done using the way in the video.I use my cheapo tweezers and use leverage on the keycaps. Not sure what would happen if the keycaps are thin and brittle, but for my FILCO, it works nicely. For keycool, I am using the way to plug out one plastic stem. For assembling, I need to remove the stabiliser wireoff keyboard then hook it onto the keycaps first. |

QUOTE(kaiserreich @ Mar 13 2012, 04:49 PM) Doesn't matter And so is the spacebar of Razer BWU, TROLOL... They insert a sticker alike thing in it and I don't know what is it then throw it. Now, I am borrowing the stabiliser stems from Keycool as it is longer and tighter compare to the one found originally on Razer BWU.Just want to hear your thoughts, so if some one decides to look for his/her favourite switches, he can rely/refer on this. If the Keycool keycaps are too loose, I've found that slotting a small piece of tissue paper when the stabilizers are inserted holds the stabilizers in place. The modifiers for the Cherry and SP double shots needs a hack like that BTW, keycool's default keycaps dam tight. I almost plug out the stem when I removing the keycaps. After lots "XOX", then it become loosen and easy to plug and unplug. Added on March 13, 2012, 5:48 pm QUOTE(noobandroid @ Mar 13 2012, 06:20 PM) haiz.. now u mention the backlit, i also duno will appreciate it or not, gonna find out once it arrives, but placement at my room, who to show off to... damm it shud have gone for filco if there were stock from cex This reminds me a joke... Added on March 13, 2012, 5:22 pmis there totally no way to totally switch off the led lights? It is in meme style. Fxxk yeah, bought a backlit keyboard. QUOTE(JohnDiew0107 @ Mar 14 2012, 02:05 AM) so far, I've never heard of any quality issues with Quire Fire Rapid. Even if there's any complain, they're regarding personal preferences such as the rubberized coating and etc.. Nope, it is quite well known that CM Storm and some Filco MJ2 are having the arrow keys offset problemThough, also as stated, it should not affect the use of the keyboard. Infact nonpicky ppl should probably won't realize bout it. Added on March 14, 2012, 6:42 am QUOTE(SetsunaFSeiei Exia00 @ Mar 14 2012, 03:53 AM) ducky and filco should be compatible with most keycaps out there. This post has been edited by Human10: Mar 14 2012, 06:42 AM |

QUOTE(kaysa @ Mar 14 2012, 11:27 PM) That is Thermaltake Meka G1 White Edition.Thermaltake branded(rebranded by many other brands also, namely Ozone Strike, Mionix Zibal and WASD Keyboard 1). The main sell point is that it come from Filco OEM - Costar but with "gaming features" such as super thick military grade connection wire, 1000Hz USB polling and audio jack+2USB ports. Sadly, like most kb out there, ABS keycaps(not sure if coated like FILCO though). QUOTE(soR @ Mar 15 2012, 01:40 AM) Quality in term of? Durability of legends or durability of keycaps? If want durable keycaps(less prone to wear out and become shiny), try getting those POM or PBT keycaps. Metal keycaps(without coating) should probably last longer. If want durable legends(printings), try to get blank keycaps(nothing to worn), engraved keycaps(took almost forever to worn) or doubleshots(only for ABS) and dye-sub(only for ABS), which took forever for it to worn out. QUOTE(JonSpark @ Mar 15 2012, 03:09 AM) Heard that POM is the hardest material(plastic), even harder than PBT.Just that some ppl complaining that POM is too slippery, also PBT having better texture, which is why PBT keycaps are more popular. Cherry branded black color keyboard(last time) is POM keycaps while white color keyboar is PBT keycaps. |
