Select restore back your gingerbread rom

If you wish to flash a new gb rom I recommend you substancer version LB1. It is tweaked n close to stock rom. Very stable rom

Not advisable to flash this as many users reported phone brick due to kernel issue

There is no other kernel available that can be used on the ICS rocket or any other ICS rom. AngeloM has develop one but caused many phones to brick. I tested his ver 1.1 but it was unsatisfactory at the menu - erratic performance  , luckily didn't brick mine
Abyss 4.2 is just to be used to flash and not to use for the ICS rom. If you flash this on the ICS rom, the phone will failed to reboot and you will get weird noises after the Samsung logo has boot up - I have tested it just for fun . To reboot back the phone on ICS rom,. I have to flash back the original Chinese leak LP1 kernel

Franco kernel works very well on the G Nexus but not on the G note. I took it down after an hour testing it as I find it causes instability to the recovery mode
Abyss Kernel 4.2 is very stable and I was using it on my previous Gingerbread LB1 build

Hey bro..finally im on GB Rocket rom...definately can feel the speed ...just flashed to the latest abyss kernel ...see how it works on my note now ..

hi, benny, this LB1 for ICS Midnote?  i can't seems to find it at XDA.    I think my MidNote ICS setup SOD quite a lot on the second flash.  First flash is ok though.  Thinking of flashing third time.    But will try LB1 if it eliminate SOD on ICS Midnote. 

i think he previously answer b4. that those modem are not based on ICS or GB

If you cannot wait for ICS, root phone and installed the ICS leak as several of us has already done so
It brings the Note performance to another level though it still has some slight bugs once in a while

gb above kl series and ics you cannot defrost apps. So think carefully before freezing
I manage to defrost some using menu/batch select power defrost. Reset phone after that

I tried ICS ROCKET ROM V1.5, tried ICS MIDNOTE 2.0.

the problem happened when i try to sync my contact or join any duplicate contact.

the phone seems giving me error & jump back to main menu.

anyone face this problem before?

am now flash back to stock ROM... =(

yes, my known contact name is not display when they call, only the number will be display, as if they are not in my contact list.  It is actually a known bug on the leaked chinese rom.

yours is a bit different but still related to the phone contacts.
i think Nova Launcher is almost the same as vanilla GNex interface or it is actually the same. 

I install criskelo on top of midnotee
No need go through original chinese leak
Criskelo rom display more freeze issues at phone settings which is none at all on midnote. So far main weakness I find. Midnotee is still ahead so far

any idea how to fix it if it is the database issue?  
yes, i done this trillion time but problem still persist. 
yes, LP1 recovery is hopeless - will hang everytime if do wipe dalvik or flash zip.  I just found out actually MidNote dev did actually caution that if you want to flash anything on MidNote ICS, MUST flash Abyss 3.9 first, then flash the zip you want, then flash again CF ICS kernel, then only reboot system.
